Bump. Interested in hearing what you all have to say. Some are pictures I take doing my job, others are pictures I take on my free time. Let me know what you all think!
Nice shots.. you have a lot of potential. I see you understand concept and have feeling for the rule of the thirds. You have to work more on your lightening, and by this i don't mean buying expensive studio lightening but mastering light, shadows and everything that goes with it.
Just keep on pushing and take your camera everywhere with you and you'll notice progress in time;)
Oh and one more thing, don't play in photoshop making BW shots with something in color, its amateurish and that method was used during 60's 70's with analog cameras when the film was bw, than they would color some details on it with special colors;)
Decide which shot goes in color or bw, and that's it.
well i hope you appreciate creative comments and critiques, because i hate comments like "its beautifull" or " great shot", but again that's just me;)
I agree on the lighting. This is what my degree is in and I always had issues with the lighting. I've been doing pictures for about 10 years, but I've still always had issues with getting my back right with light. It's alright, I'm still messing with experimental shots and what have you.
Color is a really fun thing that I enjoy doing. I've always enjoyed slightly tweaking the photo's in Photoshop to give them that surreal look, either using the tools like HDR Pro or Camera RAW to slightly tweak the photo's if I have a need for post-processing. The BW with color photo's always look neat to me if used properly with Septa, and most of the photo's I had that were BW with color were my very early attempts at using that style, but I can appreciate what you said.
