Fair question.

Basically the rep-hack, which is a pain to get and countless hours/creds spent.
And the whole nerf-tech system.

This is the first time I hear about own Reaver ID.

How is it supposed to be different in relation to the tech nerf compared with normal merc ID?

You probably got 0.75*0.1 on that one.
Technically, the heaviest nerf is 0.1^33, if you use the Venator with all-different, redcelled guns. My point was that 10% was heaviest for any single tech in the current configuration, and the default when you do not have a recognized ID mounted.

Well okay, I have a question though:

How will the tech-nerf removal work for the Reaver ID? Will you be able to use Tizonas + Black Widows on a Black Dragon without penalties? Also, what will stop you from using as many of those as you want? I'm wondering because in .85 you had a limited amount of weapons and ships, that were once granted by factions, but that doesn't apply anymore.

Now that is an excelent question.

For instance.

The whole corsair deal.

I had a talk with Montezuma, and he and i agreed that the relation between Reaver and Corsair should be at red.
In roleplay, we have the guns but with now, no support to maintain their optimum battle conditions, their functioning is and should be 'nerfed'.

I believe that any tech nerf regarding ID's should be discussed between both faction leaders.
For instance, i have already talked to the Hogosha leader about the usage of Bettys.
And nothing is written down on paper for much is yet to be done.

The tech nerf system is in its baby steps, a lot of balancing is need to be done and 'diplomacy' to be dealt with.

As you can see, with ID's, as our own is currently bugged.

There is also the pertaining matter of SRP'd tech, and how it will function with the whole tech nerf system and ID's.

A lot to be done and the devs and the admins are swamped with work, but they will address it when it's time.
