I tried to get "good" guys to help my [FL] but everyone wants to be a Pirate. And the one good pirate who did offer his help, I kindly turned down since he and I are arch nemmnissies...neemi...we fight a lot.
The one good player who helped me, well, he's gone.
I have a Munich land terraforming Rp I update with room or at least four factions could interact with but no one says anything.
I'm now the unofficial/official Kruger CEO and we could always need help.
The OS&C prides itself on being very RP in mind, even to the point of having a good ratio of Crew to Passengers on board. Really look into that. You may even get a shiny Liner.
I'm doing something else with the Zoners now and we need to pick that back up, but its workable.
I'm all about Roleplay.
PM me if any of these sound like something you like.
Sometimes, when all you want is to gain your freedom, you must be willing to risk it all.
Add me on skype if you're in need of a fix! I'll hop on my whale and we can meet up.
What I do on it is mostly trading, but I'll gladly rp with ya while at it. The Lexicon, as I call it, mostly wanna learn about the universe so any topic rolls on and on and on...
As far as it's worth, however, I kno what you mean.
Btw if there isnt already, a "RPrs looking for a fix" skype channel should be made.:P
There is an issue with Discovery, it has added a lot into the game but not led players like the single player vanilla did on a quest or mission, so new people get no real sense of the politics or environment...
(or experienced people who have just never been in Gallia or never played as Kusari)
I think there are far too many factions, not enough /restarts, and it would be cool if each time a player /restart they could follow a set story/mission via unique jobs given at the bases along the way and a unique news article to read giving them background knowledge and instructions.
Everything has turned into to discussions of balance, which factions should have what, what ID's should be allowed what etc. etc. etc. A lot of bickering and real-life animosity towards in-game counterparts. This is a game, and it is supposed to be fun, but right now quite a few things suck.

Too True man.
I posted a new Topic about what I think could turn the RP and game experience around.
True.
Sometimes when cruising through empty systems you get that forever-alone-feeling. But that's my imagination of infinte space. It can be damn lonley. But if you're meeting someone at the end of nowhere, someone, who had exactly the same thought as you just had, that's what I love when playing my Freelancer.
You just need to talk much then. From where did your 'new friend' come from, what are his aims, what is his story - who is he?
Most people here at Disco - especially the 'veterans' who do still play, although (as Stefz said; Disco is dying), especially they are quite creative when it comes to RP interactions. The quality stays, but it's true... the quantity of RP interactions is decreasing. Sadly. Let's hope for more activity within the next update - or final?

You asked wrong people then. I myself have no piracy capable characters at the momenth for example. RP can be found anywhere. Ask people that look like they know what is going around who are good dedicated role-players around his community.
