I am just about to begin my patrol now. I had to wait for Repairs to finish on my fighter. The Gas clouds pack a punch I was in persuit of 3 wild when they led me through the gas cloud, they were destroyed, and I managed to return on one engine to the gas miner. This leads me to my next question. Are we getting Hazard pay for this? I mean, I dont mind a good challenge, but there is a point where the rewards have to outweigh the risks.
I Still have not recieved my full sign on bonus, and I have also helped outfit other employees. Not to mention I have not recieved one pay check as of yet. I will not lie to you, Money was the reason I decided to come work for RepEx.
I will file a shakedown report of my fighter after I return from this patrol.
I would like to report that the refit of engines and repair of weapons on my fighter are complete, and I took her out on a shakedown, modifications worked nicely and I took down quite a few junkers as well as corsairs. which leads me to the next part of my report.
While in Sigma-13 I hooked up with Victory, and we engaged a hostile attempting to steal credits from the traders passing through, We chased him to the Junker Base by the New Berlin jump hole and had him holed up there. A Hessian cruiser arrived, thankfully not to attack us, we enlisted his aid, since they are none to friendly with the corsairs he cooperated. The Corsair was removed from the system and told not to return under pain of death (Time of 12 hours or so from this post). I wanted to Verify some of his statement though, the hostiles callsign was Sinistre, and claimed to have had a part in our CEO's attack.
I was unable to do anything about that, what with the cruisers weapons trained on us and the corsair, and we allowed him to leave the system unharmed. It is my belief that we may see more corsairs in the future and in greater numbers. We just told them their all you can eat buffet is closed, and I dont think they liked that much. I would like to request the presence of a Cruiser in this system so we can have a bit more fire support, as I believe they will be bringing in some bigger guns as well. I would, it would make sense, we are already quite hostile towards them, and now we are moving into a system they believe is 'theirs', it is a natural escalation of the situation. I can provide some credits towards this end if it is needed, I have roughly 60 million credits, what with my private train I use when not on duty. (Have to supplement my income some how) And the occasional gift from a Trader, although those are far and few between.
Given the situation now, I do not recomend flying solo, pilots should be paired up with a schedule of flight times if possible. And We should also let Traders know that while we are attempting to secure the system, we cannot be everywhere, and there is strength in numbers, and that perhaps when doing runs, the approach of a Convoy would be the best way to go.
Hold strong to your convictions people. Our forces are still regrouping at present. Rest assured we have a significant Capital ship group at our disposal of which we currently have at least 2 vessels of cruiser size and above ready to launch from Naha. Repex most certainly has the funds to expand that presence should Mr Cummings see the need to do so.
At this point in time the gathering of significant information about the pirate forces and deployment in the Sigmas is of paramount importance. Continue to harass and disrupt pirate activity where you can but do not feel ashamed if you are forced to withdraw due to superior numbers. I need you men alive and kicking. Over the coming weeks our forces will grow and as intelligence is gathered we will become more capable of organising our defences.
I will be making requests of certain mercenary groups to assist us when our presence in Sigma is low due to staffing issues. I need to attend a board meeting very soon where I will be making some requests of our Chairman and CEO. Details of the outcome of this meeting will follow soon. Until then get into space and when you see your colleagues pull them together and work as a team. Together we WILL stand.
I wanted to see if my ship was ready to fight as needed. Some of the Black Talon men said there is a new id circulating around the office and I should get one. SO anticipating my return i tried to get the such a ID but the Military office said I need a better reputation to get it.
After several long(3hrs) I still have not achieved it and it is discouraging me.
Sir, I launched from Naha and open comms picked up chatter of the pirate kind. I scanned the area and found Intergalictica Beastie, I decided to partol the area and locate the said pirate.
At this point two CR members entered the system, informing me that intel suggested a pirate was operating in the area. together we swept the system and finally located the pirate. On seeing us the pirate ran for his life. The chase that followed went through a number of systems, I was getting further and further away from my assigned patrol route, when the two CR guys caught and engaged the pirate, he was flying a gunboat and the two CR guys were making short work of the pirate.
I joined the engagement and helped to bring the pirate hull down to almost nothing at this point the two CR guys asked me to stand down. I made my way back to Sigma-13 and docked the old girl back at Naha. During the chase the pirate made all sorts of insults and complained that he was outnumbered. It seems when we are outnumbered it does not count.
On another note I strongly advise that we insist on upgrading the fleet when you are at the next meeting. I feel it's the only way forward to rid the profitable route of the vermin that prowl there.
Once the Sigma is clear I feel the pirates will only move to Honshu can we rely on the Honshu authorities to help rid the system of pirates there.
From my experiences today I believe we can convert some of these so called pirates to our cause. Some of them are in it fo the credit, and some just are looking for a challenge. The so called Convoy run isnt to their liking, they are the action hungry sort. Of this Orion has some first hand Experience today in Theta, about that, I had a Malfunction in the controls of my fighter, was a bad day for me. But I think if we provide a challenge for some of these pirates. we can bring them to our side of thought, and swell our ranks. pain of death sounds like a good termination clause to me for some contracts. I think if we are going to beat them, we may have to think like them in some terms. And I for one am ready to bring an end to them once and for all.
I would like to report on the occurances this evening, I Entered the Sigma-13 system and met up with Aegis stationed by the New Berlin jump hole, we spoke for a minute and he commented that there was a NovaPG in system, I began recon, called in location, formed up with the cruiser and we engaged the Nova PG, then a TBH fighter engaged as well. After a relatively short flight I was able to dispatch both with the assistance of Aegis.
I can only assume that their pods were tractored in by Junkers and transported to their base where they had secondary fighters waiting for them there. They both then proceded to the New Berlin system where we reengaged them, two LC gunboats were destroyed in the fight, I was unable to check for survivors, I only hope some support crews will be able to check the asteroids for escape pods, I would hate to hear that all hands were lost. They did fight bravely. A bounty hunter engaged as well, and for some reason The Nova PG did not fire upon me, but I was not about to allow the corsair to escape, I persued his disintigrating ship through the sigma 13 jump hole. While I entered the system he engaged his cruise engines and ran away, most likely to the junker base, and I lost the contact there, shortly after the Nova PG flew by me and disappeared into the gas clouds. I do not know the status of the ship, or if it survived the gas clouds.
I can only hope that this can help our Intel of the system and the current situation.

I would like to add that after filing this report, I resumed my patrol, Engaged Phadreus Zeta, a corsair in Sigma 13 after they tried to tax me, they ran, and when I jumped through the Sigma-13 Jumphole I again reaqquired in New Berlin, Engaged the hostile, and another Corsair named Sinistre, (our good buddy)) engaged me as well, I dispatched Zeta, and then Major Zero entered the fight, and I also recieved assistance from Traders in the system with nanobots and Shield batteries. I think they are starting to realize that They too can do something to stop this pirate threat, one even fired upon Sinistre as he fled, which I find to be quite...what is the word I am looking for, Invigorating? They realize they are not so simple prey, and have begun running in convoys, making them a harder target. I do feel that our presence in Sigma-13 is doing some good.
"I am sorry to report the Victor Remond (RepEx*BT|Victory) seems to have snapped mentally. I still do not know what caused this but I do know that he placed a million credit bounty on his head and then solo charged the Osiris Battleship Adler in a Wrath. Needless to say he lost.
The LSF recovered the cockpit of his Wrath and Victor was alive inside. He never even tried to eject.
The doctors at Manhatten General Hospital say it will be a few weeks before he recovers from his injuries."
I have had some disturbing reports from some Freighter Captains, seems one of their own, Callsign Wolf Of Solitude has gone rogue. He is outfitted with an outcast destroyer and is the newest pirate on the scene in Sigma-13. I dropped what I was doing, and hastily wrote this report out, I thought we needed this information.

The Laws of the Land (Server Rules) clearly state you can not pirate in anything bigger than a gunboat. So our shiping department wont have to worry as much about that Cruiser hanging around Sigma-13. But our security forces will have a hard time out there that is for sure.

My craft seems to be having some troubles. The control systems seem to be unstablilized and are being checked over right now and being fixed. until then the craft wont be in service
Weapon calibration is great, but what is the point of a good weapon system if the control collum is messed up.
Until then the ship is docked at New Haven Station going over tests on its calibrartion units. In regular flying and in live fire tests.
