SERVER ADMIN NOTICE: Mounting BS Shields

This is an notice to *ALL* Players on the Discovery 24/7 Server.

Following an incident in California with several Pirate players, i noticed one of the flyers mounted a Battleship Shield. i tbelieve it was a Somtaww freighter.

Until this bug is fixed, I am giving a verbal warning to all players... this will be the only one I give.

DO NOT MOUNT BATTLESHIP SHIELDS ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN CRUISERS OR BATTLESHIPS. If I catch you with a BS Shield.. it's an instant 3 day ban on the spot. No warning. No excuses.

Mounting BS shields on non-cap ships will vastly unbalance the game and I will not allow it on my server.

Also, at the same incident wolf mentioned, ive noticed that some people is using Speed Mod in the main server...

Using it on the beta server was allowed because it makes looking for systems-related bugs easier. But in the main server it is not allowed.
Ive already noticed admins about that.

Beware, if you are catch using speed mod in the server, admins might give you a 3 day ban for that. So please, DONT USE SPEED MOD ON MAIN SERVER.

Yeah I was sick of seeng BS shields on a gunboat. The smallest thing I have ever used a BS shield on is a BS... Also so people don't get banned for this, the Ravenclaw can go to cruise speed in 3/4 the time of a train, and because of it's dual thrusters it can reach 320 without cruise. Just hoping to prevent some bans.

Ah and that freighter was probably (NovaPG)pilot.corona ...

Not anymore, Dab.. Igiss and I removed the extra thruster mount. Man, you haven't been on the server since we switched to Beta 3 have you ?

I thought you said the gunboat WAS a capship. If it has capship maneuverability, it should have capship shields. If you dont want a BS shield stuck on it, why dont u just put the shield mount down to class 9? Also if you are gonna do that, can u plz make the handling a tad better, but not much because TBH, the gunboat shield cant cope with the pounding it recieves because it cant avoid incoming fire. It's a bullet magnet!

EDIT: also can it have a cruiser shield on it still? ;)
