Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Zoner who:
Can attack lawful and unlawful targets in self-defense, to protect another trader, or in defense of Zoner bases.
Cannot dock cruisers, battleships, or transports with more than 3,600 cargo within House Space, except Aomori Station, the Battleship Hood and Zoner bases.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers, Battleships
So yeah - restrictions. Right there. I'm sure an actual administrator would tell you what exactly you did wrong. If it was an in-roleplay freeport administrator, most of those don't have actual "power" ( so to speak ), but know the ropes and I suggest you listen to them carefully if you wish to play a zoner faction.

Could also be the anti-cheat protection freaked out and terminated you due to a glitch. Had that happen once or twice when I was mining and the game glitched and dropped loot it wasn't supposed to and the anti-cheat went ballistic on my ship. I'm pretty sure anti-cheat kills are credited to 'Admin'.
Either way, this was an error and not a real admin.
Disco can be frustrating and it is somewhat difficult figuring everything out. Some take their roleplay so serious that they don't show leniency to new players, which is good in one way (on a scale of immersion and whatnot) but negative for new players who find it all very confusing. I don't think an admin shot your friend, by the way.
Also you will find that a capital ship (cruiser, battleship) can make you a flying target - in most cases you are better off in gunboats/bombers/fighters as the mod is balanced in a way to benefit these ship classes, and it is way easier to be casual/"fly under the radar" in these ships. Plus less rules governing their use and where they can go.
Try making gunboats/fighters/bombers for escorts and keep your capital ships docked in the Omicrons and use them for shooting Nomad NPC's (the blue squids). That won't get you into trouble, you will meet other players out there, and you can see what they do/learn from them and have fun without worrying too much about rules. Think of the Omicrons as the "Wild West".
It takes a bit of time to get comfortable with all the rules, but after a while you will see most are there for good reasons (except some *cough* 6.7, *cough* trader-exception in 5.7). Try asking people on the forums if you are in doubt - people are generally very nice and helpful, and even the ones who have a bit of fun at your expense aren't doing it to annoy you.
I hope you stick around.
Slightly off-topic:
What Ursus said above about escorting on the Zoner ID is 100% correct, but it might be a good idea for admins to streamline things and just let the Zoners escort to avoid confusion about the correct order of actions on that specific ID. It's mostly experienced players that are vocal about things, so changes are mostly done as an extension of that, and by doing so sometimes we might neglect new players/add un-needed layers of complexity to something which could be kept really simple.
Kudos to everybody who who made the effort to help here, seems it was just a misunderstanding concerning
the old 'killed by an admin' bug. That, and the result of some unforeseen roleplay consequences ...

ok this is ohnoudied here i love this game and i did have a zoner id and didnt know that the ship i got would be such a pain. the main reson i got it was for looks anfd i know that big ships aint the way 2 go gunboats are better i found out the hard way and i was trying to get to a base were i could trade it off for a gun boat but i couldnt dock at any of the stations in house space so were does that leave me and i couldnt go thru liberty space to kepler so that left omega 15 the only jump hole i knew of was in dresen in the c4 area and that is were the problems started i dont mind the role playing but when some one tells u he is trying to sell his ship and offers to lets ya escort him the the jump hole u should take the off and make a friend and not be a ass about it and tell thim to turn around and leave (i allready got told that in the last system i was in) so what should i have done
and i dont mind the being killed part it is a game but what i didnt like is the way every player i meet was a ass for the most part if someone is being nice u be nice back.
