Konban-wa Jennifer-chan,
It been a long time since we've received an application from a Bretonnian. Please forgive us if we aren't completely accustomed to your customs and accent. The more we meet the more we understand. We have many openings for work here at GMG and we are positive we can fit you into the ranks. We'll have a bit of work to do to get over a few minor communication barriers but this isn't the first time we've helped someone get on their feet for the first time. An agent will be contacting you privately soon and see if we can't get you uplinked to our neural net. We'll go from there.

Name: Akise Aru (Common Sirian name order: Aru Akise) Age: 19
Background:
I was born on Planet Honshu and have been living planetside until very recently, when the Okinawa system was opened to commerce and colonization in 814 AS. My parents, formerly employed in the Kishiro optronics factories on Planet Honshu, accepted an offer by the company to be transferred to a clerical position onboard Isehara Terraforming Outpost (now Isehara Refinery) and I came along with them to Okinawa.
Because I moved with my parents to Isehara before finishing my high school education, I was both too young and under-qualified at the time for a job as a Kishiro employee on-board Isehara, even as an assistant. To pass the time onboard Isehara, I took an interest in teaching myself rudimentary knowledge on how to operate the types of onboard vehicles and spacecraft that were in use around the station.
Since then, I have taken and passed the necessary tests to be qualified to operate onboard station craft and commercial spacecraft. I look towards the GMG for employment not only because gas mining in Okinawa is well-known as a highly lucrative trade but also because I want to make a living out in space, in Okinawa and even the Sigma systems. After all, life is more interesting out here, is it not?
Division Choice: Commerce Division Reason for choosing to join GMG|: As a Honshu native, I am very familiar with the story behind the origins of the GMG and in a way, I want to follow in the footsteps of those people that first founded the GMG and seek my own fortunes out in space too. Reason for choosing to join the division you picked? I am not very skilled in space combat. Even though I can pilot mining vessels and transports with little difficulty, I have much less experience piloting fighter craft.

Konnichwa Aru-san,
Hai, you are correct that life is more interesting out here in the barely tamed wilds. We thrive because we work as a whole both in harvesting our bread & butter and in defending our territory. You are young and inexperienced, Aru-san, two qualities we absolutely love to find in our applicants. We will have the advantage of an early start in training you with a lot less challenges that seem to come with the older more experienced applicants. In this way we are more assured we are training a member of a group in mentality rather then an individual flying amongst us. Your application has been approved and an agent of ours will be contacting you privately soon.

Previous Occupation (Leave blank if you have not been employed before): My previous occupation was a trainee position as a supply coordinator in the Isehara Terraforming Outpost. There I have worked closely with Kishiro and GMG. It earned alot of experience in a short period of time and I feel I have what it takes to advance.
Background: I was born in New Tokyo, my parents did not have any high education or a high position job. They always wanted me to do what they have not, get well educated and therefore acquire a well paid job. They spent everything they had to educate me, and provide me with a future, for that I am vert grateful. My education is in finance, but I also have some basic space training, since I always dreamt of being a ship captain. After I had finished my education I got my trainee job at Isehara Terraforming Outpost, and it is reaching to an end.
Division Choice(s): Mining Division
Reason(s) for choosing to join GMG|: GMG do great business and I have heard you treat your workers excellent and provide good working conditions. I also have experience working with GMG at the Isehara Terraforming Outpost and I can see how hard-working and friendly you are, that is something I want to be a part of.
Reason(s) for choosing to join the division(s) you picked? I want to join the Mining Division because of my education in the finance sector and my previous working experience I think I can do the job well.

Previous Occupation: Research Supervisor, Ames Research Station. Previously, Associate Professor of Physics at Boulder, a private research university on Planet Denver. Lab Assistant on Atka Station.
Favorite Beverage: Gin and tonic
Background: My name is Okonkwo Mbanefo and I have been an active member of the scientific community for upwards of forty years. I was born on Planet Denver. From an early age, I felt a love and passion for science which was not overshadowed by political developments during my youth such as the Nomad War. Though my recollection of the time is fuzzy, I recall being encouraged by my parents to study hard in school. I didn't like my history classes much, but math and physics were a cinch. As such, I quickly rose to the top of class rankings, and received my undergraduate degree in physics, magna cum laude, from Boulder University. I then entered Boulder's combined doctorate program, which was more competitive, but still not that challenging, and my passion for science continued to increase. Several of my professors acted as my mentors, especially as my knowledge of physics quickly grew beyond my parents' understanding.
Having received my Ph.D., I sought postdoctorate work, and received a fairly unimpressive post at Atka Research Station, working for Cryer. These were undoubtedly some of the dullest months of my life. I'm not a chemist, really. I quickly grew bored working for a large corporation, and drew desperately upon my connections at Boulder to obtain an interview for a professorship position there. Though my inexperience was subject to scrutiny by the faculty, my name was familiar among the professors, and I soon received an appointment as Associate Professor of Physics. I would serve in this position for fourteen years, conducting research on assorted topics in biomedical physics and preparing a series of undergraduate lectures. It was during this period of my life that I met the woman who would be my wife, also a professor at Boulder.
At some point, however, the priorities of Boulder shifted, and it was time to move on to a new stage of my life. I decided to take a low-paying post of high intellectual value to myself on Ames Research Station. Anomalies within gaseous bodies were a research topic which had been stuck in the back of my mind for a long time. So I pursued it; my family and I boarded a shuttle to the Kepler system, where we would make our new home. I learned a lot on that station, sipping a gin and tonic in the bar, listening to the regulars talk to each other. Sometimes I would take a late but desperately needed break from my work. I'd order a drink, and strike up a conversation with whomever I happened to run across. I learned much from the Zoners; I learned much from the Xenos. And I made sure my children partook in this discourse as well. As they grew older, the three of them also learned much from the various ideologies floating about in the air. I cannot say whether the net effect was positive. I am proud, however, of my eldest son, who obtained a connection and one day packed his bags to become an electrician on Freeport 9 -- all the way in Omicron Theta!
Now that my children are grown up, I want to travel and see the sights. But I will never stop asking questions. My wife intends to take over my work on Ames while I take an extended leave of absence. I feel like the Gas Miners Guild is the right place for me, where I can ask my questions, and hopefully give some meaningful answers.
Division Choice(s): R&D
Reason(s) for choosing to join GMG|: The Gas Miners Guild is an old and respected organization. Her ties to Kishiro give access to advanced technology for the purpose of research which would not otherwise be available to me. Furthermore, I am interested in anomalous gaseous phenomena, which is of value to the GMG.
Reason(s) for choosing to join the division(s) you picked? The main way energy is stored for supply and distribution across solar systems is in gas. The GMG supplies much of this gas. Due to the large scale use of this product, there is much to be gained from optimizing the physical processes involved in day-to-day operations. Furthermore, several phenomena lead me to believe that active research regarding gaseous dynamics is still possible, given experimental data which does not agree at all with traditional statistical distributions long accepted as fact. Take for instance the anomalous formation and behavior of some gaseous bodies such as methane giants Cerebus and Hades or the hydrogen saturating the Rishiri System. I would like to conduct research regarding these phenomena, both for the sake of inquiry and toward the chance that there are more resources for the GMG to harness.

I believe that you'll be an excellent addition to our Mining Division. Our He-3 storage is always in need of refilling, and lately we've been working overtime to mine enough He-3 for our clients. Fuxyueru has been running short, but with another capable miner such as yourself we won't have trouble keeping up with the demand!

The Research & Development division will suit you perfectly. I'm adding you to our secure channels, so we can discuss your work more in private. You could also use an office and a workplace, so I'll be making room on Shuri Base for you. And worry not about equipment or funding that you will indubitably need; the Guild will deliver.
