Correct, they suck in fleet engagements... but they are perfect pirate ships... which is what they are. That's how Corsairs put food on their tables. With Titans.

The Taiidan bomber was the Corsairs main bomber for a long time, it was sold on Yaran, its selling location got moved this last mod change to FP 11 which is a Zoner base, the GMG don't even sell the ship from what i can tell.

let me rephrase that slightly.

If a Sabre flies against a Titan, and the people flying are of the same skill, the Sabre will win. It has more firing time, accelerates to full strafe in 1/3 of the time it takes the Titan to, and has an extra gun. The little energy you have left after an inferno shot can be used with 7 top tier Outcast guns to take around a third of hull from an armoured Titan.

Adrian... do you even know how to pirate? I saw you get killed by a CT in a Templar, which is an even more refined version of the Titan.

And if you want to complain about the Taiidan, then take a little peek at the bomber fleet of the whole SCRA. What are Coalitioners doing with GMG tech? How did that happen? That is where Ivan got it from.

The QCP has improved by leaps and bounds. Commodore Stuart killed two TBH just a few days back, and made off with loot that should have been theirs.

Quit complaining about the Corsairs' sad state of affairs, please. They're fine. I'm sure they'll get more ships too if the Outcasts do.

I dont doubt your ability to kill newbies in Titans, Blunt, I doubt your ability to take out a transport in one of the heaviest VHF's available.

And the Corsair's state of affairs wont improve compared to the Outcasts. Because if it moves that way slightly, we'll get what we had when a unioner gunboat was annouced. They aren't even related to Corsairs now because of that, cured by a sneaky change in diplomacy.

Calm the paranoia and give Eppy some credit for making a nice gunboat. Or say it needs a different shape. Or more cowbell.

@ Razr: Read and undertsand and don't turn words as you like and cut them off of the whole. Yesterday i had a corsair with Falcata bomber and i advised him to get another ship before an admin might do this in an expansive manner. Guess what his answer was? Now think you would stay on the side with your Taiidan.
My opinion to your shipchoice is (if it is allowed to have an opinion). You want to be a Corsair, so move your ass into Corsairships or go back where you came from. Indifferent if you have learned, how to fly an RT. Then learn how to fly a Titan. A proud Corsair believes in Corsair technology.
Btw, you may shoot my chars with other fighters as often as you want. I will become better and better with worster hardware. Guess how much my satisfaction will be, when i will blow your Blood Dragon VHF with my Chimaera one day. Guess how much my satisfaction will be, when i will blow the best Sabre pilot with my Centurion one day. This is the only thing that counts. Not the number of kills, but the ability to win with the worster hardware.
Then you can make a really upsetting fun of the looser. Especially, when a vanilla fighter beats a custom one.

Oh good lord...... I just read that entire rant. Yes the outcasts are receiving a gunship. (Whether eppy's or some one else's) Right now it is the tread for every faction to receive a full line of ships. Some of use opposed projects like the unioner specific gunship because we feel that a civilian gun ship would suit unioner needs better, they do use civilian fighters after all. The change in alignment happened because the community felt that the unioner alliance with the corsairs was damaging to roleplay attempts within Rhienland, where the unioners operate. It was not an attack against the corsairs, and more specifically corsair players.

The Borderworlds line of ships is without a gunship, and it is a major ship line. It needs to be done eventually. So what is outcasts have access to more ships? It is honestly just a game. You have degraded yourself into insulting another's ability to play the game now. Any valid points you had, will be lost. You have damaged your creditability. Been there, done that, and believe me you will feel stupid with yourself in the mourning.

This thread is about eppyon's model, and what might be done to improve it. I honestly think eppy should return to the drawing board. The design just does not feel right to me.

Not every faction needs a their own ships people. If you do that, you kill the Freelancer feeling that Discovery has. Right now it seems like every ship that doesn't look like complete crap gets put in as long as there's an opening. That's bad.
Now, an Outcast/BW gunboat is something we really need. People are always complaining about how the Outcasts get a whole bunch of ships. We really shouldn't. When we get our own gunboat we'll have absolutely no reason (except for a few cases where RP depends on it) to use ships other than our own.
And FYI to everyone, I sent plans for a GB to AoM to have modeled. I don't really want a competition or anything, it's just that I really don't care for Eppy's design because it looks nothing like any of the vanilla Outcast/BW ships and I would much rather see the ship I envisioned be put in.
