When you are looking through the scope of a sniper rife, you are in your own world. A world where you have to make a decision about your targets life. You tune out everything that's going around you and wait for that perfect shot.

- Snow storm's closin' in. Where is that guy?
- It's your job to find him, Chuck.
- The wind is getting pretty strong. You sure you can do this, Grano?
- That's why I'm the sniper and you are my spotter. Now keep quiet and keep looking.

Me and Chuck were in the Liberty Navy Black Ops. Our job was to assassinate a Outcast warlord, who had hidden himself on New Berlin. The Navy had officially apprehended him, but he somehow escaped. We all know that Liberty doesn't like to publicize its mistakes, so we were sent in to clean the mess up. Nice and quiet. One thing I didn't get was: Why New Berlin? But that was the Intel and it was solid.

We spent the better part of an hour waiting for our target to show up outside his compound in the snowy mountains of New Berlin. The heating units in our suits had only about 20% of power left.

- We should have packed more Nano-capacitors
- He'll show up soon enough, Chuck. Time's coming up on 0800 hours. Intel says he's going to receive a shipment of Black Market Munitions soon. Did you rig up the charges on the road as I told you?
- I did one better... Wait... Tango spotted. .3 clicks, on your 11 o'Clock position. Ground transport incoming. .9 clicks, 3 o'Clock.
- As soon as I pull the trigger, blow the charges.

I adjusted my zoom, and put the target in my crosshairs. I lowered my heart-rate, slowly exhaled... And squeezed the trigger. The target fell down with a fist-sized hole in his chest.

- Time to scram, Chuck. Blow it!

The whole compound turned into a huge fireball with the flip of a switch. And the shockwave released an avalanche that buried the whole valley.

- I know you like big explosions, but that was a bit overkill, Chuck!
- Relax - Now it'll take them weeks to actually get to the site to look for clues. Go ahead and call our exfil transport.
- 5-3 Exfil, this is 5-1, identification code: Alpha Charlie Niner. Mission complete. Requesting immediate evac.
- 5-1, this is 5-3, I've got a lock on your locator beacon and I'm Oscar Mike. ETA 2 Mikes.

I turned to Chuck and I felt my whole body convulse. He hit me with one of those stun rods. Just before I blacked out I heard him say only this:

- Loyalty comes at a price...
