It was raining. Maybe it was the reflection of how he felt, he thought. But one couldn't just think the weather is acting after how someone would feel. The man dropped on his knees, looking at his insignia he was holding in his hands. A Lieutenent of the Liberty Primary fleet. He shook his head and put the insignia on the ground, infront of him. He then pulled out a photo of someone, putting it on the ground as well, placing the insignia on top of it. He remembered the dream, where he was lying on a bed, sick, almost dying. He wouldn't want an end like that, he kept telling himself. Then again. The end was the same. Something about the dream was true, after all.
"Forgive me...it's time."
The man smiled slightly at the photo and stood up, walking closer to the cliffs. He looked down. Approximately 75 meters, he thought. Should be sufficient. He took a last look behind him at the photo and the insignia and let the feeling go. He jumped, his body quickly gaining speed as he was falling. He closed his eyes for a last time before staring into infinite darkness.
