Sabre is a fine ship.
I'm not sure I understand all, that whole thing has 13 pages now and I wont read it all...
But I'll just say every faction fly his faction's ship and that's it...
Fine, you want my excuse to use non-outcast ships? (which I rarely if ever do, with the exception of my personal Battleship, which is ((ahem)) the product of a considerable amount of roleplay, and, indeed, not a particularly good combat ship at all) You get to outnumber us. You won't let us use our own tech advantage. You want to play unfair and outgun us two to one? Here's our response. Use our allies' ships. Duh.

I personally never had a problem with you using your allies' ships. This goes to those who think you shouldn't be using them. My whole point is that its absurd to see Corsairs' technology too inferior. Things were more equal in the vanilla. Anyway, thats my own belief and I will stop right here. I have already stated my point and thats enough for me.

Ah, Kress, the shieldbusters... You can sync them with your Codies and Nomads. We can't do that. The Inferno gets one shot. Great for Capships, but you can't send a noob out with one and expect him to do well. You CAN do that with Tizzies and Coladas.

Ep, I may have overreacted. I am having a bad day really. But this will not be an excuse and well if you remember my previous replies in here, I was willing to see the decurion and titan enhanced or a new corsair vhf designed, thats all. I didn't want something uber, did I?

Look, CR - Cylons. CR has normally 3-5 guys online... Cylons barely one... When I see a cylon, they fly a VHF, not a damn battleship with 50 uber-weapons. And they dont whine about being whored...
There is a problem with people, players, when you whine about them attacking you in 2:1, most of them wont stop doing it just to annoy you. And I think a lot of corsairs(but I am sure, not all of them.) just want to annoy the "damn super-uber technology whoring guys", who RP they have a technology that works for them in 3:1 fight. And it all ends in endless flames...
But: What about this theoretical situation: Outcasts, instead of RP-ing still better, better and better ships and tech in Sirius, would RP something wrong happened on Malta, many of them died, some other problems happened, they have less supplies and so... Making them weaker in RP... Think about it for a moment.. What would happen then? I have no certain idea, but I think it would end better, than this thread..?
//This post may not be absolutely right, or may even be completely wrong, but since the last few pages I noticed no movement in the discussion, I am trying to add something fresh.
I'm going to step in and share my thoughts on this topic because I think it can only help the situation to talk more about it.
From a vanilla and newbie standpoint, when I first started playing freelancer (it really wasn't that long ago) I initially gravitated towards Corsair. The Outcasts were very cool, don't get me wrong but they had sleek, shiny ships with big effects. Sairs, on the other hand, had boxy ships like the Titan and the Gunboat. In all honesty it reminded me of the Mac/PC divide. Some people preferred one over the other.
My personal opinion is that the 'Sairs should get the better ships whereas the Outcasts should get the better weapons, reflecting their theme of "a house divided." Corsair ships would be better because of their shipbuilding expertise, but because of Cardi and other alliances, (like the Lane Hackers) the Outcasts would have better internal equipment. (Guns, thrusters, maybe even things like shields, but I'm not going that far...) It would balance the two factions, yet give them a sense of individuality, which is (I think) the goal here.
Seriously though, am I the only one that misses the small amount of pride of flying home with a broken-off wing? "Yeah, he blew off my right and left wings, but I nailed him with a torpedo!"
Ah well. I guess that's what they call "the good ol' days."
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
@Kress - I don't have anything against Unioners flying a Corsair ship (in the last version when they were allies).
But, you can't really expect to see the BIGGEST and most powerful faction to fly the ships of their inferiors?
Especially if the ship concept is being hidden from them?
Outcasts are proud on their equipment, and their Cardamine, and their ships!
Corsaris are proud on everything they have, as well!
My point is, Outcasts can't fly Blood Dragon ships, because, concept is being kept hidden from them!
Another point, Outcasts wouldn't want to fly a Blood Dragon ships, because they are proud on their own!
They are one of two biggest Pirate factions in the Sirius.
Why the hell would they want to fly ships of some lowlifes who don't even sniff cardi, but despise it?
As i said, there can be an RP reason for a single person to take another ship, by him making an RP story.
But it is nonsense when the whole faction does that.
It is really called PVP whoring.
It is like Unioners RP-ing they have the knowledge of making Wrath VHF, and flying those, instead of eagles.
It is nonsense!
It can't be right, and it isn't right!
I wasn't talking about your Fantasia battleship, Eppyon.
But, if you made an Outcast Faction, which would demand of all members to fly Brettonia Battleships, yes, i would have something against that.
See my point?
Edit : One more thing to add.
I have never seen anyone making an RP story to fly a Titan. Or to fly a Templar.
Or anything similar.
Why are people always making RP stories so they can fly better ships then they could w/o it?
Well, that's not on me to guess, but it's not so hard to conclude.
90% of RP stories related to the ships are about getting a better ship then available.
There are exceptions, ofc, but they are rare.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
Regarding fighters, It's fairly simple. Blood Dragon Heavy fighter is THE BEST fighter craft in the game. Krakens ARE THE BEST fighter guns in the game. You don't have to be genius to figure it out. Now, Outcasts which have krakens, are allied to Blood Dragons which have best VHF. Yeepee.....excellent balance....
All Outcasts start flying Blood dragon HF, all blood dragons shoot Krakens, and voila: They WIN THE GAME. Good game...rest of us can play NPCs for them to shoot at.

Yes, this is exactly what I meant. People thinking (I am not gonna talk about if it is true or not) that their enemies are overpowered and they all join together, because they see the worst threat... If Nomads openely attacked Humans again, Corsairs and Outcasts would maybe join together to fight worse threat.
If you act / have the best weapons in the game, lots of guys will subconsiously attack outcasts, simply because they are (in RP sense) the most dangerous enemy.
