I believe a class 8 gun does not make half of the damage of the class 9 gun. And since you like to argue and tell people all their opinions and arguments are "invalid", then I have to call your example invalid.
Since from what I can tell that ships are balanced to the house primary/inside enemies.

I would like to talk on the Arbeiter. It's a pretty nice ship actually, it's speed is more than okay and it's really fun to fly it. Now I wouldn't call myself unhappy with this fighter, since it's one of those ships I like most on the server. But in many situations its sheer size, which is bigger than the Eagle's, it has a lot of disadvantages consindering its hitbox and hitpoints. Now well...I am totally fine with the shape and design of the Arbeiter itself, while the hitpoints could be more, in my opinion. Many people know what difference additional hitpoints in a critical situation means, where every single hitpoint could decide the fate of the ship's status.
Now, consindering the Arbeiter itself with a hull of currently 11.200 hitpoints but a relatively decent turn speed, I would propose to increase its hull up to 12.000 hitpoints, to make it more resistant in rather unlucky moments, where its hitbox is catching a lot of damage. That, but no more, in my opinion. The rest of the ship is fine for me.

This thread has no room for conspiracy theories.
This isn't as much of a discussion thread as it should be a suggestion box. If you make a claim support it. If someone would like to counter that claim, support it. You're not trying to convince the users that your idea holds water, you're appealing to the balance team. The dev team. But none of this back and forth on who's ships are superior because of how many contacts they have on skype.

Lennox just demonstrated beautifully how this thread should be used.
Fafnir turrets should be given 360-degree rotation. This would give them four guns/turrets forward, which would allow for a bit more flexibility (such as putting Hellfire on a gun mount, while keeping 3 EMP weapons)
Note that the Eclipse and Nanda Devi are both setup this way, and they are both smaller and more agile than the Fafnir, so this should not present any kind of balance issue by itself.

Battleship+cloaking device makes the battleship kind of invicible. Its dry, it cloaks, it runs...
Balancing the cloaking devices in general would be nice, othwise it just serves as a cheap "not-dying-method"
