Gen rubbed his struck cheek and grinned, his eyes darted towards his wife intermittently. 'Hai!' he bowed informally 'that old goat. Small galaxy!' he joked 'Anything else that two busy girls might need?' he gestured to the house as his wife elbowed him in the midriff, taking his position. 'What my baka husband means is: we would be happy to update the appliances and facilities ' a new shower perhaps, or something in the kitchen? Whatever you need to help you decide ' this is the best place for you both. A real find in the midst of the typical Tokyo sprawl.'
Amaya watched Junko in surprise. "You know that man? This is all rather strange.."
Junko suddenly smiled.[color=#33CC00] "Hai! It's ojisan. He's funny."
This didn't offer much explanation and Amaya was just as confused as before. "I see... Anyway. We'll let you know if we need anything. Many thanks, Otsuka-dono."
Said woman was busy scolding Gen again however."Funny?! Baka! What did you do again? The whole Naval Forces are laughing about you probably!"
A bit helpless and confused Amaya just stood there with a slight frown. "You mind explaining?"
"Hmm? You spend too much time on your oh so shiny vessel's bridge, i guess." she said to Amaya in a bored tone .
"Our host is sub-lieutenant in the Naval Forces and i came to fly with him several times." "-Fly- with him, eh...?"
Ignoring Amaya's tone that made Misuko puff on her cigarette while staring at her, she carried on "... and as you can see, Otsuka-san is rather old so i decided to call him ojisan." "I'm not that old." complained the interested.
"... And... Well i guess you can see how funny he is already." "That i can..?" replied Amaya half questioningly while gazing at Gen.
"Either way" she started, turning to Misuko "Your house seems to be perfect. However my er... Friend has a disposition for celebrating life and..." She gave Amaya an insistent stare "depending on how much she plans to trouble the neighborhood, stronger partitions or even sonic supressors may be needed."
Amaya made a somewhat comical pout during that tirade, seemingly waiting for the right time to reply to those baseless accusations.
"That said, i believe we forgot to talk about a quite important matter. What would be the rent and do you want a deposit?"
Misuko roughly dragged her husband back and spoke 'Hai, two thousand is the security deposit and rent is one thousand four hundred per month. Very reasonable for such a nice place, don't you agree?' she dismissively gestured with one hand at their surroundings.
"Disregarding Junko's false assumptions on how much I will trouble the neighborhood, I think this is a price we can both agree with."
She smiled at the elderly couple.
[color=#FFFFFF]"I suppose you just need to tell us where to put our signature and we're done".
She raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Unless there's something else you forgot to tell us?"
Misuko stood stock still whilst casting her gaze left and right, as if checking for impossible eavesdroppers 'Forget? Why, No, Hah! It's definitely -not- haunted...'
she laughed nervously, obviously trying to cover her mistake 'Ghosts do not even exist.' she exclaimed. 'I'll just go and get the forms ' Gen!' she screeched as she marched off to accost her husband.
Once the administrative formalities were disposed of and they took their leave of the couple, the two women found themselves on the house's main street entry.
"What did she mean with that haunting thing? Was that a joke?" asked Junko, gazing at the sky as if she was wondering if it would rain soon. "How would i know. I'm not psychic!" replied Amaya while stretching.
She then patted Junko's shoulder softly. "So... Is that old man the boyfriend you're always refusing to talk about?"
"No." replied Junko while shrugging to have Amaya quit patting her. "You can tell me. It's not like i will repeat it to his wife."
Junko stared unkindly at her, which made Amaya raise slightly her hands as if she was meaning 'Don't shoot me'.
After a sigh, she finally asked. "So. You really have that many things to move from your current house?"
"Hmm..." mumbled the woman, seemingly busy to check her pda.
"I know a nice bar not far. Come, we will celebrate!" "Hmpf. That will be for another time. I'm waited." "Oh?" She smiled softly "A date, hmm?" "Work." Simply replied Junko while dusting her blouse.
"I will call you later." "Hai. Do that. Have fun with your working date."
After shrugging out of annoyance, the woman left Amaya, who was now wondering what she would do with her few hours of free time...
