It'd be logical that it brings bugs, maybe related to player ships due to exploration of the systems and charting data but considering nobody had access to NA/NC on the discovery server (aside of admins maybe?) I doubt it would have a massive impact.

Sing it preacher!

They can have a guard base in their regular systems if they really need something. But Paying for something permanent, when the factions come and go, is just silly.

Yeah. These things happen. Like losing your favourite toy from childhood.
Look at LN and LSF. Alaska is the perfect place for their guard station complex.
But instead we have 2 systems that are visited rarely except to get proper equipment.
Lane Hackers have their guard station in Alberta.
Do you believe that unguarded guard system entrances via using jumphole visible by public makes sense?
I personally don't. I have already posted a thread about guard station complexes in public systems. And there were more people than only Govedo13 showing support for the idea.
So before you post ignorant comment, do get acquainted with possible options.
Making guard systems useful should be the first approach, if you ask me. And I do believe in some cases they are. Yay to that!
Maybe New Anglia and Cambria could be used for something? Both seem like nice names, could use them for unnecessarily numbered systems (though Bretonia doesn't seem to have many of those anyway).
All official factions have the option of handing back their guard systems, to be integrated into the mod. Many factions have already taken up this opportunity.
Some former guard systems only need a little spit and polish, some need major rework, others have pretty much nothing in them anyway, and a few seem to operate in a parallel universe - where all their dreams and aspirations are fulfilled through magic and ponies.

They will be physically deleted from 4.87 (already are gone in the development version). These systems were never finished nor connected to the mod, so there's no reason to leave them in. Poole will be brought into the mod as a nonguard Bretonian system.
