Yea I agree that the New Berlin to sihma-13 is a high profit rount, I make millions off of it, and it took me a long time to get were I am right now. Making it a littel less more profit might help make thing seem more real.

I got to ask somthing and I'm only asking not demaning.

Why is the New York Jump Gate to Magellan Jump Gate does not work? I do not know any high profit rount from those 2 sys. I only asking, just wounding, help ppl get around faster.

There is a high profit route, also involving cardamine. That's why I locked the gate. The Magellan issue was already discussed some time ago, by the way.

Would it not be easyer to make the buying price a littel higher for cardamine and still keep the gate open?

Cuz we use the Ner Berlin jump hole to sigma-13 alot not just for trade but to get around. Same with the other Jumps Gate. Just asking if that possible? make it were u the selling price only a few hunder profit per unit then a few thousand?

There are several lucrative routes involving Montezuma and Mactan. They are one of the best for beginners (who are friendly with pirates) even if the jumpgate is closed and players have to navigate through California. If I will cut down the profits and open the jumpgate, the game won't become more interesting. So no, I won't do that.

Igiss, Im glad to hear that youll increase shield strength for freighters. How about 40K for Freighters and 60K for Train? After all, these ships are hauling millions worth of cargo, so it makes sense that theyre well protected

However, I still dont see why traders are not allowed to earn money as they want. All the lucrative trade routes involve pirate bases and illegal cargo. Its not as if its a walk in the park. To give you an example of whats going on

1813: Encountered 6 Hessians. Shields reduced to 40% efficiency. Burning hard for nearest Tradelane.
1815: Arrived at New Berlin.
1815: Hailed by Police. Burning hard to reach the Mooring Point before they can scan the hold.

1819: Departed New Berlin hauling Engine Parts for Yanagi Depot.
1821: Exited Tradelane 5.3K from Sigma 13 Jumphole 6 Hessians detected on long range scanners.
1822: Ran the Hessian blockade to reach the Jumphole. Shields reduced to 55% efficiency.
1824: Arrived at the Sigma 13 Jumphole.
1824: Arrived in Sigma 13 system.
1825: Hailed by Junker pirate. Refused to hand over cargo.
1826: Arrived at Yanagi Depot. Refused permission to dock. Aborting landing sequence and plotting a course for Helgoland Station.
1830: Arrived at Helgoland Station.
1830: Laying low for a little while. Hoping Yanagi Depot will permit docking later.
1835: Departing Helgoland Station hauling Engine Parts for Yanagi Depot.
1837: Arrived at Yanagi Depot. Permission to dock granted.
1839: Departed Yanagi Depot hauling Cardamine for New Berlin.
1841: Arrived at Berlin Jumphole.
1841: Arrived in New Berlin System.
1841: Encountered 8 Hessians. Shields reduced to 10% efficiency. Burning hard for nearest Tradelane.
1843: Arrived at New Berlin.
1843: Hailed by Police. Burning hard to reach the Mooring Point before they can scan the hold.

1845: Departed New Berlin hauling Engine Parts for Yanagi Depot.
1847: Exited Tradelane 5.0K from Sigma 13 Jumphole.
1849: Arrived at the Sigma 13 Jumphole.
1849: Arrived in Sigma 13 system.
1851: Arrived at Yanagi Depot.
1854: Departed Yanagi Depot hauling Cardamine for New Berlin.
1855: Hailed by Junker pirate. Refused to hand over cargo. Engagede Cruise Engines to get away.
1857: Arrived at Berlin Jumphole.
1857: Arrived in New Berlin System.
1857: Encountered 8 Hessians. Shields failed. Hull integrity reduced to 80% Burning hard for nearest Tradelane.
1859: Arrived at New Berlin.

On average, for every ten roundtrips I make from New Berlin to Yanagi Depot and back I:

Get hailed by police and told to drop my Cardamine 6 times.
Get attacked by Hessians as I exit the Sigma 13 > New Berlin Jumphole 9 times.
Get hailed by Junkers 3 times, forcing me to quit the game as Yanagi Depot is now hostile to me.

Of these encounters, the Hessians, who lurk around the Sigma 13 > New Berlin Jumphole, are by far the worst. They are fully capable of removing my 40K shields and a good deal of my hull before I can enter the nearest tradelane and that just around 2K. It helped to get a 80K Cruiser Shield mounted now I can make it to the tradelane without having to use Shieldbatteries but sometimes its a close-run thing
Also, the Police is a constant threat. Usually, I can dock on New Berlin before they open fire on me but not always. I was forced to drop my cargo on one occasion. Not only was I faced with two Police patrols, but there were also 2 Battleships with their attendant Cruiser escort between me and the planet no way I was going to make it to the Mooring Point with that sort of opposition. Besides I really dont want to become hostile with the Rhinland Police and Navy.

Anyway, Im ranting here. My point is that the lucrative trade routes are all high risk. And If a trader is willing to accept those risks, then he should also be rewarded for it

Everything you listed is very easy in comparison to many longer routes with even less profit.

Not as they want. In original Freelancer this jumphole is locked. If you want to earn as much money as you want, create your own mod, make Trenton outpost sell cardamine for 20 credits.

Unmount it and sell, it won't be of any use for you in 4.76.

I will make top speed for battleships a bit higher (up to 90). Need your opinions about making other ships top speed higher depending on class. For example,

90 - battleships, light fighters
85 - heavy fighters
80 - very heavy fighters, freighters, transports, gunboats, cruisers

Easy is when I can simply plot a course, then lean back and start reading a book while pressing F3 every now and then. The Yanagi Depot > New Berlin is, IMO, far from easy. Ok, so it might not exactly be deadly (at least not with a 80K shield), but it sure isnt a walk in the park

But ok, its your mod. And youve got your opinion and Ive got mine. How about we just leave it at that?

Igiss, maybe the Eagle should have the spead of a heavy fighter? Considering it has the maneuverability of the average light fighter.

I will leave speed differences for future discussions. There will be no speed difference in 4.76 (except for battleships).
