I voted BAF, because that's what you are. You're the faction, so I say you can define what you do within Bretonia within reasonable bounds.

' Wrote:"on a regular basis" means that mercenaries CAN pirate, but can only do so occasionally. That seems to me to be the best fit for what you are doing.
It's unclear but I think that the "on a regular basis" only applies to trading, and piracy is completely forbidden.

I agree ... Mercenary ID is best fit.

BAF.
If someone doesn't care reading, or even listening on server, then he deserves to die anyway.
I have seen a QCP guy explaining that he is a Privateer, and still being ignored.
That sucks.
BAF fits, ID's are not important, as long as people are willing to readsten.

I'm with chopper.
If they dont understand, cause they don't visit the server, or use the time that it takes us to F1, then, we shouldn't have to explain.
BAF.

YES!

I agree. In the event that there is no Bretonia Privateer ID, I think that the best option would be to keep your BAF IDs. This might actually get more people to the forums!

But if this does not work out...carrying a Pirate ID and getting tagged BAF works too.

Well, since a Privateer is...

Wikipedia Wrote:a private warship authorized by a country's government by letters of marque to attack foreign shipping. Strictly, a privateer was only entitled to attack enemy vessels during wartime. However, states often encouraged attacks on opposing powers while at peace, or on neutral vessels during time of war, blurring the line between privateering and piracy.

I do believe Pirate is the best option.

The problem I'm expecting for Pirate is that I'll get complaints for using BAF tags and ships, which is non-negotiable. Hmm. Rock and a hard place.

If "on a regular basis" only applied to trading, then there should be a comma immediately behind the word pirate. As it is written, "on a regular basis" modifies both "pirate" and "trade".

Thus, mercenaries can pirate and trade, but may not do either regularly. The real issue is, what exactly constitutes regularly? For QCP's purposes, I doubt it would be a problem.
