Really folks, some patience is in order. We are doing everything we can to get things up as quickly as possible. We could have waited till we had everything worked out before bringing the forums back up, but we figured people wanted to use them. There will be lots of fixes of the next few days, so just hold your horses before you decide to make a post complaining about something. Lets us get to the fixes, once everything is more stable, feel free to let us know what problems are still around, but seriously, we know stuff is still wonky and we are doing our bests, especially cannon, to get things up and running smooth.

I probably don't need to tell you that the forum looks like crap right now.

Internal links are broken.
Rhread and post numbers are changed.
Formatting is broken.

Now seriously, I see only two options right now, revert to old crappy and buggy IPB, or try to repair the damage.

The bigest problem are changed thread/post numbers. Which means that all the links in your faction message dumps and all the stuff in the comm channel archive is broken.

I am not sure what conversion tool Cannon used, probably the default one, but the best solution would be to edit a bit the porting script in order to maintain exactly the same topic and thread IDs. With IDs preserved, a wise use of regex can very quickly repair all broken links. The same goes for formatting.

What I would like to know is, are you even going to do this?

How bout you just act like the forums are down forever, and act accordingly.
