Slow night in New Berlin. Most of the time there was just Hans Krieger and Thomas Merrill there. So Hans decided to liven up the place a bit. Even though it's common knowledge that RM pilots have their senses of humor surgically removed at the academy, there's no saying they can't still promote happiness around them...

Hans is floating in orbit of New Berlin and this guy shows up with no ID. Hans says, "Sir, your ship's registration has expired. Please go planetside and take care of it."
Next one was a guy with a most interesting choice of naming.
Third ship is a Mercenary. Oh! Big no, no, you can't be here buddy. So I order the guy out. He was very polite and said he'd leave. Minutes before I had noticed some half a dozen or more Corsair ships in Sigma-13 so I'm worried that such a nice guy would choose to leave New Berlin through there:
A Rheinland Cruiser by the name [RN]Pinky&Brain made it's appearance in New Berlin while I was on patrol a couple of days ago. The tag bugged me. I mean, RM, RN... So I asked him, devoid of any sarcasm, if RN meant "Rheinland Nurses".
Much to my disappointment he said it wasn't, but in fact it meant Rheinland Navy. I was already picturing myself as Michael Palin's Galahad "the pure", in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when he finds the Castle Anthrax. I pictured myself sp... I mean... having my battle wounds be attended to, by the skillful hands of a thousand nurses aboard the vessel. Since the ship was properly IDed and equipped and there were no nurses aboard to be met, I let it go. It bugged me later though, to notice the same ship roaming around in areas clearly outside of Rheinland territory, like Alaska; and I wondered if it was another case of a vessel stolen from our forces. The worst never occurred to me...
Later the same day the ship returned, but this time I wasn't alone. Part of RM's high command was there along with other pilots. The vice-admiral didn't like what he saw. The Rheiland Cruiser was now fully equipped with Nomad weaponry and we all know that raises alarms in Rheinland.
As the questioning of the ship's commander proceeded, and we were inclined to attack the vessel under suspicion of Nomad infestation (the fact that a Rheinland officer would name one of our ships after such a humorous program was a strong evidence of infestation). The admiral then inquired about the meaning of the RN tag. I most dutifully presented my wishful theory in private comms, just to debunk it right after with the real version (I needed to share my delusion). That mixed with the suspect of Nomad infestation quickly filled the minds of our pilots with possibilities. Not the admiral's, of course:
You know those days when everyone decides to PM you? That can do things to yours and your character's brain...
This wasn't intended to be an "RP insult" to the Hessian. It just came out wrong.

TOO MUCH INFORMATION
It was an uneventful evening for us Mandalorians. No targets on, no jobs available. So we were minding our own business (telling each other jokes, war stories and the sort). Pretty much this, only fun.
We currently have a contract with one of the lawful forces to help keeping their neighborhood safe, even when they're around to be helped in doing so. So, we can do it ourselves to an extent.
So, we're there, amusing each other when a smuggler undocks from the capital planet with a hold full of illegal material, according to our contract we are to stop, make him drop his cargo and fine him (a sum that goes back to our contractor). We happen to be in number and surrounding the ship isn't exactly a problem. We try ordering him to stop, but he don't recognize our authority (never hear of civilian arrest) and tries to squeeze his transport between our three ships. Not gonna happen, so we try a more persuasive approach and open fire, taking his shields and a bit of his hull. He still doesn't want to cooperate and leave us no choice but to really inflict damage. At that point he stops.
He agrees to drop his cargo, which he himself blows up (smart one), but has no intention to pay the issued fine. He says we're acting like pirates. So I read him the terms of our agreement with the lawful forces and instruct him to contact their representatives in case he has any doubts or complaints concerning our actions (which, much to my satisfaction, he ends up doing).
He still doesn't agree in paying us and jumps to his scape pod telling us we can go on and finish destroying his ship, "you trigger happy mercenaries". But there's nothing in for us blowing up his ship, so we play along. We leave his empty bucket there floating while we orbit it and resume our chitchat. We even try to contact the nearest scrapyard to see what kind of money we could get from the heap of tangled metal. Ends up the smuggler swims back to the abandoned ship and decides to pay the bill and we let him go. I'm actually quite sorry I didn't get the whole thing in SS, the the whole conversation was very funny.
We were out of the system for some hours and we finally decide it's time to go back and land our birds. Who is it that we meet again trying to sneak out with the illegal cargo? Tell me about luck.
Unfortunately for us, we're down one bird now and he did manage to shake one of us. I stick to his tail and he takes me to a grand tour around the system, which was actually quite fun, I've never seen it from some of its perspectives he presented me. After some ten minutes my friend is still to find his bearings and we reach the jump gate to the neighbor system. The smuggler figures that now he's managed to escape me, but out of luck I manage to jump right after him and hit the other system before he even engages cruise. But the fact is that I was indeed tired of the chase and alone I'm not really equiped to actually stop him. He's carrying counterfeit software, hardly a dangerous cargo, so I give up:
(For obvious reasons I'm not divulging the smuggler's name. Also, for the record, I'm considering his last // a typo, that could've been pretty much in character.)
Conrad Egron decided to do some mission for Mollys and get neutral reputation with Mollys Guard to buy some equipment. While he was doing missions I realised that Im taking part in them too, as I am in the same group as Conrad. So, I thought to see how did my reputation change, since I also wanted to be friendly with Mollies. But alas! When I opened the reputation window I did not find Molly's faction there, appearantly I have never saw them flying before, so I asked Conrad to do me a favour...
