thats why...
if we take it to sigmas, we need a 2-3 week head notice.. gamma... 10 minute head notice tops.
-leave enough room for those lolgates to undock and get into battle formation
-maybe a skype chat would be cool where you could announce : guys- we will be there in 10, wake up^^

Indeed , yesterday i was quite happy to find a lot of your dumpsters in Gamma , but not so happy to find out that my lolgate was shot down before i could even get closer to my 2 fellow corsairs in order to organize our suicide ...
Thats sad . You better stay in Alpha if you just don't let us undock .

This would work if the bases are just used as objectives - core one, one or two repair materials and no weapon platforms. That way they'd be easy enough to destroy for casual skirmishes, but still robust enough to survive lone attackers.
i dont know much about bases, but is it possible to just put some credits on it and set prices so people can make a buck on supplying it? that way we could make an estimate on how much this event would cost, and make management a lot easier. I would gladly chip in if people think it could be fun.
there would always be mindless pews to be had, shooting the enemy base and whoever logs on, and if you get killed its np you can just go supply your own base or better yet go pirate the hell out of people supplying the enemy and cause havoc in the sigmas.
how much would it cost to keep two bases with those upgrades alive and give traders a decent profit in the process? would there be enough interest to pull it off?
