Is that KNF should not actively operate in the Sigma systems. But if we are in Honshu and traders in Sigma 13 are getting pirated we can come and help.
We didn't discuss Sigma 19 and 17... but I remember seeing KNF members patrolling all the way to Kurile some half a year ago.
---------------------
Why is this brought up?
Today we engaged a Corsair strike force in Honshu and after a few vessels were destroyed we pursued them trough Sigma 13 all the way to Sigma 17 jump hole.
There two other Corsair ships (TRIAD tagged) were waiting .. we destroyed one of them and damaged the other one before he fled to Sigma 17. We jumped after him.. but let him go after he engaged cruise. He kept saying over system chat that we had no right to be both in Sigma 13 and Sigma 17.
My opinion is that KNF should not patrol in Sigmas.. but can pursue pirates that retreat there from Kusari as well as aid traders in distress. But if Outcasts fight Corsairs or the BHG without attacking anyone else we should not move in.
Some points:
- GMG is a company with Kusari origins and is mostly likely to ask KNF for help.
- There are civilian bases both in Sigma 17 and 19, planet Kurile belongs to Samura.. which has very powerfull connections in Kusari goverment, so it's likely that KNF would be called if they needed help.

Now in the light of the recent UOG/Libety issue I would like to hear people's opinion about it.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
I'd expect it to be common for them to at least run light patrols through the Sigmas, but often during my trips through Kusari in my freighter I wonder where any KNF forces are in the first place. Kusari is a big place, so it might be difficult for them to spread out that much. As far as personal opinions go, I would like to see them more active in general, and patrolling the Sigma systems seems like a standard task for the KNF. But, entering only in pursuit sounds good as well. If any, their presence should be light.
Agreed, KNF shouldn't patrol Sigmas, but should jump in when needed.
There is no or very little action in the rest of Kusari anyway.

I guess to help traders every now and then would be ok but i wouldn't like to see KNF there all the time and there are always traders and pirates in sig 13 so it could be used as an excuse to be there allot.
I can definitely see them chasing pirates from one of there systems to 1 or 2 systems from said system.
Looks like TRIAD made there faction then and there Corsairs? and from your report it looks like one reengaged??
Sigma Thirteen might warrant LIMITED patrolling, namely in the Kusari half of the system. Similarly, the Kusari, GMG, Samura, Cryer and Agiera areas of the other mentioned Sigmas I think are definitely acceptable (namely the Ogashawa, Kurile and Atka, and possibly even the Hawaii), as that is protecting business interests.

It makes just as much sense as QCO claiming they can operate and interfere with shipping way the hell over in Sigma 13 because it might "aid the Kusari war effort".
Actually, it makes more sense for the KNF to aid traders in the Sigmas, just for the reasons stated, Mjolner.
As to the absence of KNF on the server, there's a long story involved concerning transitions of leadership. I truly believe that LoTeK_ is trying to raise visibility and participation in the KNF. There appear to be a number of new members, and I'm sure they're just as dedicated to showing a presence as are any of the major House Factions.
These things go in cycles, as I discovered when I led the KNF for a bit. Folks go where the "action" is. Right now, that's Liberty. For better or worse, that does leave the other Houses in a vacuum until the cycle changes yet again.
Edit: I noticed I mispoke as soon as I posted. It was a member of the QCP, not QCO who told me it was perfectly within their RP to be present in Sigma 13. Apologies to the QCO. Raspberries to the QCP. M.
GMG is not a nation, it only has a defense fleet, and would probably not risk an incident with kusari for such an impasse.
So, Kusari is welcome to follow foes into the sigmas, because there is no one there to stop them. Though, Kusari probably cannot afford to patrol the sigmas, what with the tau war.
On a related note, the QCRF will follow someone for as long as it seems we are likely to catch them, and if a corsair leads us to gamma, I will rp that the flottillas now know where gamma is (corsairs do not want that).
well personally i think KNF are welcome to jump into a sigma system to support a trader or other such player...sorry character, like the other day when KNF fought RoS at honshu JG because they where told by a certain trader we where after him, fight was fun we started off with upper hand then the trader commissioned a PRF to help out. i found it completely fine that they jumped into 13 to help him. good RP imo somthing going on in they're borders i do think they should have a right to stop the forces from coming into Kusari space (which might i add we where just about to do if they didnt show up)
I think patrolling in the Sigmas under the conditions you stated is logical and perfectly fine, Mjolnir. LOTS of Kusari shipping flows through the Sigmas, so it seems to me totally legit to go after pirates there if they're disrupting said shipping. But not on a regular basis if nothing's really going on there.
And yeah...TRIAD apparently became Corsairs. Like there aren't enough on the server already. But that's a topic for another day...and at least the ones I've seen were in fighters, rather than caps (which I know they have the money for if they wanted them)
