Not bad Chenzo, just lower the bevel/emboss down a little and try
a drop shadow same colour as tech bars with a darker outer glow

Quick, simple contrast work, some random scribbles for a border and a Photoshop filter later, I produced a banner for an up and coming character bio... or maybe just a signature. I thought it looked a little bit like the art for those Dead Space comics.

Edit: On the signature/banner version, I added in the ship's name (友衛 or Tomoe) for the sake of some identification.
