Quote:So why exactly does the K'Hara have such a super-high standard ? I mean, you want to be more active. Ever thought about lowering these standards a notch ? I mean sure, no one's a pro-roleplayer. Not even the K'Hara's. The thing is, when you notice that your faction doesn't have a lot of people, you should think about why it is that way.
Well, I suppose the K'hara wishes to keep their 'image' so to say, they dont want nomads going around ruining their name with their horrible ways of RP'ing them..
That is just my personal thought, I have no idea if thats true or not..
What you say sounds legit, Moveit.
Also those "high standards" motivate people to increase their skill of roleplay. The server needs such factions in order to show what should be aspired.
Roleplaying skills mean nothing if your faction becomes boring because of decreasing activity. I think there should be a compromise. But hey, I'm not the one who calls the shots.

Remember that it USED to be the most powerful gear in the game. That's one reason things were so restrictive in the faction - you're giving out what are effectively terrorist ID's with super powerful guns and gear. You want responsible people to have them.
Second is that the Nomads aren't some variant on humanity. As a race of beings, albeit a created race, they have their own psychology, their own way of doing things. Here are two scenarios:
Irra in New York - over mindspeak (since Nomads don't use radios), you hear ***Softskins - not enemies (?) - why hardskins (humans(?)) attack (!)***
Irra in New York - You Russ? I kill all!
Seriously, which do you think is the better scenario, given that the Nomad racial history and back story is available for everyone to read, and what do you think would happen with totally open gear and simply treating Nomads like they're some variation of human pirates (which is what I'm hearing you say, even if that's not what you're intending).

Its true the K'hara and other group(s) of nomads have been becoming more active then the past, but its defantly not going to reach an all time high any time soon. Its just a lack of members.
The group mind died?
OhdearIwantanommieagainyessh.
I had one excellent rp with a nommie recently. Its one of three so far, and hey, that's fantstic. I got the feeling he lost interest because I was a fat cow of a transport and couldn't fight/etc. But when you are trying to change a fanatic's mind, that's hard.
So, anyway, one more guy who loves the noms and likes to see more khara. I won't often shoot you without quite a lot of chatting first. But then, you'd have to know what ships I was flying to do that. And that'd be saying.
Can someone link me to a list of the nomad lore documents to date pls for my re-edification because I'm a mad scientist trying to splice a human arm into a giant cat
