I fly through Kusari all the time, and with my BH rep I'd notice if there were BH in Kusari, Kusari is practically BH free, apart from southern Shikoku which I avoid like the plague.

from a roleplaying point of view - it makes sense that kusari does not like the BHG. if kusari is indeed something like ancient japan - the warriors have a high status and are most of all honourbound. BHG instead are mercenaries without any sense of honour. they fight for cash - and not for a greater good.

a true kusari warrior would not swap the sides he fights on for some cash. so BHG are even less than foreign soldiers that fight for kusari alone ( but even those would never become real warriors ). BHGs could be seen fighting for kusari in one battle - just to be seen fighting for bretonia in the next. while bretonia won t have a problem with that behaviour, kusari will certainly have.

i would not go as far as to describe it as hatred though. its just a dislike. - and to prevent hatred, kusari makes it clear that BHGs are not too welcome in their space in general. - if you don t deal with them and try to avoid them, the situation cannot escalate to open hostilities.

the guildcore of the BHG may be considered differently though, cause the core does not fight for cash ( they get their share from all the independent BHGs ) but for something greater. kusari may consider the guildcore much more trustworthy and give them a higher status than the common bounty hunter. - but the guildcore does not have any interest in kusari / bretonia as it seems. they are more interested in exploring and researching the far away nomad space.

I read this one from a NPC in Deshima a long time ago. Here what the NPC basically said.

Kusari does not want BH to fly around Kusari. They take that as foreign interference and take it as an insult to their honour. They opened some space for BH to deal with LH and LR. BH would do great job for Kusari and Kusari can pay them well, but they dont want foreigners to have anything with their issues.

Jinx said it all.

Kusari does not tollerate the BHG within their core systems, the BH's stay near their base in Shikoku, Deshima station. And if you sit there for a while, you can see the occasional KNF fleet attacking the station.

Yeah, and there's a Battleship, what, ten kilometers there from the station? Wonder what that's there for ^_^

I've seen those rumours stating that the BHG are only allowed in that system.

But, if you fly past the sun in honshu (the right hand side as you look at the map) you'll find a few flying around there.

As for the KNF patrols hammering deshima station, it might be the same reason why liberty and BHG patrols clash (or use to) one side orders the other to drop contraband (usually the pilot flying the ship) and then get told to 'get lost' so they fight.

Use to be fun watching 4 piranhas try to take on a cruiser group.. (BHG white 17 enga... pop they all go:laugh:)
