as i type it somewhere, alaska, hm ok, but do you think that is good to have guard system or faction system (name is not important) conected with enemy? and i mean the order. its the same as rheinland military guard system conected to hessian system or corsair guard system conected to outcast.
when alaska then remove the minor jh and make conecticut-minor jh or something like that.
because when the alaska-minor jh exist and alaska is liberty guard system, i am sure( sorry nothing personal to noone) that in some weeks are omicrons full of liberty police/navy pilot trying to find and fight with pirates.(corsairs/outcast)

' Wrote:Kurosaki....the LSF and SA regularly use Conneticut for training. The Alaska gate was removed because it allowed people to do trade routes from Liberty to Omecron systems that had no RP value whatsoever. (It was decided that Traders shouldnt be marching through a Secret Liberty system, the Order home system, and nomad infested space regularly, like was happening).
Removing that Gate was supposed to stop the route from being so commonly used, but IMO it was a complete failiure. People just use the other jumpgate, and I firmly believe another measure should be taken to stop people using Alaska as a highway. (Guard-aligned turrets, etc).
Sniper, I'm sorry you're feeling unfairly treated, but the fact is, most people aren't against you having a guard system, and I'm sure we all feel you should have it as heavily guarded as you like.
I just think that, as it stands, Ontario is an important part of the smuggling routes, and there are no reasonsable alternatives to using it other than Alsaka (if you're an artefact smuggler).
The LSF has the power and potential to do allot of good for RP if they put their guard system in a beneficial place rather than one that severely damages unlawfuls' ability to move in Liberty.

Take a look at the ideas that have been put forward and decide if you like any of them. I think LSF definitely deserves a guard system, but I think you should put careful consideration into placing yours where it can enhance role-play between lawfuls, traders and criminals.

hehe u are saying LSF/SA are useing it for training hehe lol i sometimes use our gaurd for traning, why can the LSF make Conneticut they gaurd system and still train there??????

i dont know Minnesota never been there

Well, many people use it. I like to think of it as a place to blow off steam, when you got 100 people going ooc in the bordering system.

It really is too bad you don't like Alaska, it fights your RP so well and has the added bonus of stopping illegal snuggling. I don't however see the issue with the LSF taking another near by system, Minnesota works fine for me.

Then again I'm not the complete community. However most anything you choose should be fine, and the SA would be fine with it, good luck on finding something.

Minnesota is completely fine for me also.. yet Alaska looks more logical.

Alaska really does make more sense in terms of RP, and is more logical a choice. But sometimes logic and RP need a toss out he window in favour of things more acceptable to the faction. Would it more directly connected to Alaska, to give the feel of being associated with Zone-21 and Alaska? That would definitely give the desired affect I think, being able to pop in and out fairly easily.

Also, thanks for pointing that out and sigging it for the whole world to behold Brian :P

Well I am all for an LSF Guard System. Or at least an LSF system. Alaska should definitely have a base in it and in a way it kind of does. Something remote in the western part of the system. I love Jinx idea of putting it far above or below the elliptic. Been wanting to see something like that for a while. Like the Zoner base which is above a planet or there is a certain JH which is a little below the elliptic. Love that stuff.

The LSF does a lot with the Navy likebuilding the Osiris BSs. However, as a lot of people have mentioned in other placesthe LSF does a LOT of covert intel work. NSA/CIA style stuff. They definitely need their own secret guard system. Which in my eyes is what a lot of Guard systems are. Just like major systems have secret bases in them. To me most guard systems are secret. Yes, a lot of people know were they all are..but..to the majority of the population..they are secretes few people know about.

Also, a lot of groups with much less resources than the LSF have Guard systems.
Hogosha,Blood Dragons, Liberty Rouges, Junkers, Golden Chrysanthenums, Independent Miners Guild, Farmers Alliance, Red Hessians, Gains, Bundschuh, Molly, Lane Hackers, even the dam Xenos have a guard system.

And just like those secret bases; the JHs to these Guard systems are not generally on the road more traveled.

Of existing systems Minnesota is an okay choice. Coronado is another I think. However, a new system would be cool to. I would put it right under California between Magellan and Virginia. I dont think there is a system there. Could have a JH to it from California or NY or put the only JH to it in Virginia. Just some ideas.

As for Connecticut, I see tons of people there all the time training and practicing. It should not be changed in my opinion.

I am of the same mind as Sniper..if folks do not want Ontario to be it; fine by me. I just would like one somewhere and it can be an existing one or a new one. Im easy.

The big problem I have with Alaska is that LSF and Order are enemies..pretty big enemies. And having the LSF system be connected directly to the Order system or Omicron Minorjust doesnt seem fair to me. For either side. An official base would be great but to have it as the main LSF system seems problematic to me.

Anyway, thanks for all the good input people.

Cheers.
