Let me start off by saying that this is a very bad thing, and something that shouldn't have happened.

But, whoever did this didn't plan it very well...

The timing and placement of the bombs was completely off, and if it was planned better, it would be 100 dead and 2 injured.

Boston is lucky that it wasn't worse.

Oh, sure. People die everywhere all the time for many reasons, including man made explosions. This happens in America, boom, scandal.

EDIT: Also, three people and counting.

Also, this is not the sort of thing you discuss on a forum.

EDIT2: Also, you are damn lucky. THEY censor the images/videos. Our news posted them all without warning. I saw the guy in a wheelchair with a bone and straps of meat where his leg was. Thanks.

Yeah, I saw that picture online... Reminded me of The Magician from HoTD.

For once in the span of forever, I find myself agreeing with Spazzy. This isn't the place to be discussing this.

Death of any kind is a tragedy, but one that affects us in different ways depending on the circumstances. It's the nature of grief and how humans cope. For some, this will hit very close to home. For others, not so much. Many will be focused instead on the earthquakes in Iran or the ongoing deaths in Iraq. Leveraging one against the other to make a point is, in the barest of terms, unfair.

Keep eyes on the news sources - and more than one - so that you have as much information if you care to follow this. Keep discussion to Skype or other messages and people who you're comfortable talking to. We're not encouraging members to pretend nothing's happened, but the unfortunate thing about situations like these is they often produce comments best left in a medium that isn't, well, this. It's a bit too heavy for this place.
