Not good, devs. No /setmsg means harder gameplay and roleplay for slowtypers like me who can't type long phrases in seconds. This might lead to abuse such as 'getting killed while typing' like Ursus said.

Would it be possible to make it still enabled in groupchat?
For the sake of targeting a target or requesting support at a certain part?

I assuming it should be possible since you can use /g1
Just have the rest disabled.

there are also other ways to bypass this. Buy some high end keyboard and you can set a message with 1 hit of a button. it saves even pressing <enter> /l1 <enter> I am sure 1 i know who will use that with his keyboard now.

I am glad it happened but in the end it will mess more up then it does good. Also a tip for pirates: Wait at lanes and pretype you message. shoot lane and press enter its basicly the same. For interceptions you could do the same fly around and pretype it first.

Approved allthrough it would be much better if admins did somewhere above mentioned "Target is X" and simmilar, or even let us bind such thing to a key.

This is not abuse and it's not hard to type and fly at the same time anyway.

Anyway, while I support the principle behind this change I don't know how effective it'll be. If someone really wants to get around having to type out their own role play it's not like they can't set up their own macros for it. This would mean not only is nothing solved, but also that now anyone who would be using them to call targets/locations can't anymore.

As has already been suggested many times, limit them to group chat please.

I don't like it. How are we supposed to communicate in combat situations? Why not have the lenght of the setmsgs shortened to about... let's say twenty five letters?

That biplane just shot down my jet!
