i am soulhunter, i left my home planet 100 of years ago and i was searching for the legendary LSF faction
they were known in the whole universe, many stories were written about them
after the great war that destroyed destroyed our lands i finally decided to leave everything behind en search for the LSF faction
and now after 100 years of searching true comet fields, uranium storms and other dangers i finally found them!

My name is FireBat. I come from a distant system with three powerful forces constantly waring with each other. After serving with my home world's military for 10 years, having to deal out death constantly, took its toll. So I retired. Being that a Sergeant's retirement pension doesnt pay much, My wife and our 2 children moved to Manhattan. She started a new career as a cruise engine inspector. I took what savings we had and bought a Starflier. I figured the only way to get the thril of firing on moving targets without having to kill people was mining the silverton field in the Colorado system.
After transporting serveral loads of silver back to Manhattan, i was intercepted by a group of at least 6 Rogues who demanded that I give up my cargo. When i tried engaging my cruise engines to escape, my ship was hit by a disrupter. Calamity ensues.
My ship was bombarded by missle and gun fire. All my systems were failing. I jettisoned my cargo, but it did'nt matter, the rogues smelled blood, and they wanted me destroyed. They continue to hit my ship over and over. Just when I thought the bulkheads were going to shatter, my would-be murders left.
My toubles are still not over. No weapons, no shields, no engines, and whats worse, life support is failing. My only hope is that i am not attacked again, and someone passes by soon.
My oxygen was running low. It was becoming harder and harder to breathe as i tried in vain to repair life support. Its not long until I am unconcious.
I opened my eyes to see a Doctor starting back at me. "Mr. FireBat, you are a very lucky man to be alive"
He explained to me that a passing cargo vessel saw my ship, badly damaged, adrift in the silverton field.
If that cargo ship didnt happen to be carrying a doctor, I would have died.
Shortly after hearing the story of my rescue, the doctor says that I am fit to be released.
I rush to the street, hail an air taxi, so I can quickly get home to my family.
But there was no joyful reunion when i arrived, only more grief. I found police at my apartment door, which was kicked in.
"Whats going on?! Where's my family?!" i demanded.
"You are FireBat, I take it" One of the officers ask.
"Yes, Yes, now where is my family?!" I yelled.
"They're fine." The officer assured me. "They are at a hotel. Unfortunatly, your apartment was ransacked, it's quite a mess in there."
"Who did this?" I asked.
"We think that it was a gang of Liberty Rogues, they've been causing problems here on Manhattan, and through out all of Liberty space." The officer explained. "They've been stepping up attacks and started invading homes"
At that moment I knew what i had to do. My enemy used to be aliens slaughtering soldiers and taking over planets. At least my enemy had honor. These honorless thieves need to be dealt with.
It looks like I am coming out of Retirement. I can only hope the LSF will accept an old sergeant as a pilot.

In actuality I am a 24 year old male, father of 2 living in Northen Ontario Canada. I have been playing freelancer for sometime, but only recently began playing online. I have experimented with other mods (crossfire, combat evolved, Shrouded Worlds, Tides of war just name a few) But i now know that this is the mod to stick with. There is an actual community here. I was only playing the mod for a few days, but i had more fun with it than i did with any of the other mods.
I have been getting some great tips (and a nice cash boost) from a certain member of this clan, (if i could only remember how to spell his name) and i have learned quite a bit.
I hope to join your ranks soon.

In regards to firebat's application, i am willing to sponser him. I was the officer who flew with him and helped him out a bit. He showed a great appetite to learn, and a very strong sense of duty.
