Exactly this. The BDM are not the regular Rheinland military, they are its intelligence arm. They need to know what is going on. And it's not like that BDM is a rare sight within Omicrons, as they have some rather gentlemen agreement with some folks around there.
I will put my opinion here and be warned i am blunt honest and to the point, with a i dont give a damn view on things.
The Entire ZA thing, has basically killed my wish to Rp in the omicrons, i see no real ability to Rp and a blatant disregard for not only the Zoner rp but Server rules as well, not once have they adhered to the Zoner ID, they use OOC ships and bullshit to supply the bases. Then theres the forums, they seem to think they can find allies with differant methods which give them their due, the post asking the other official factions to state their Relations with Order then use it agaisnt us was rather clever, but ive noticed especially from tel aviv, that any time a faction turns around and says no, suddenly the rp seems to disintegrate and you act like an asshole.
They are exploiting the issue with PoBs and tbh i have no interest in Omicron 74 at all nor do i have interest in the ZA at all and i wil do what i can to avoid Rp with them in the future. Ive been an Rper for a damn long time, and this is entire Rp has been a disgrace
Lets see here, this isn't a rage, nor flame but ill be honest. Just what ive seen and what i suggest:
Reengaging, don't like it, it gets irritating and the fact a Juggernaut decided to repeatedly engage me 8 times and repeatedly it died. I mean come on, why do that?
OORP, If local chat wasn't bad enough the ZA did it on system chat too, that really is pushing it.
And feeling the need to war with every faction when you don't get your own way. Zoners just don't do that, you are frankly trashing the Zoner Reputation and the overall RP of who Zoners are. When you manage to get half the gaming community angry at you, maybe its time to stop and think?
I doubt anyone would really mind you guys if you sorted out the things ive listed above, these are really the key points you need to improve on, maybe other people know a few others. Though it has been very slowly improving, i must admit.

Well sadly i was not there or even playing the game at all. But I did hear that the BDM where shooting their base. Or at least some fight there was going on. Anyways for me its more like some want to add some more gasoline to the fire to keep it going.. But hey that are my 2 cents.

It was rather a ZA Nephilim silently opening fire on a BDM GB in proximity of their base, it is fully legitimate of the BDM to demand that now.

there had once been a judgement on a pair of BHG ( back then the DW ) - what happened was that they were shot down without engagement notice in new york by the navy.
the situation was that they had entered what was a "combat area" - and unwillingly became combatants ... but b their OWN fault. -because it was considered THEIR fault for having ventured into a zone were there had obviously been high tension / combat being conducted.
- it was henceforth judged that the navy did not only do nothing wrong dispatching those BHG ( whom they could not be 100% certain on whos side they were ) - but also - it was considered "good RP" for them to do so. ( back then - that had been the LN| official faction silently attacking and destroying the BW )
even an underlevel player becomes a valid combat target when he enters a place where combat happens - or is very close to happen. - it is not hard to avoid such places or get out of them fast.
if you keep lingering around - or even shoot back though- you are held 100% responsible - even if you were attacked.
mind you - that was years ago and the offenders had been an official faction while the BW - back then - was the scapegoat.

it is highly unlikely that the BDM assumed the area to be harmless. - if they had really wanted to remain in full observer-mode - they could / should have cloaked or kept well out of weapon range.
if the nephilim went out of its way to go for the BDM that had stayed well out of weapon / combat range - then indeed - that was a deliberate attack - but if the BDM was in proximity of the combat - he is a fair target - silently or not- cause combat did not come as a surprise.

in anyway those that put fuel into the fire have to ask themselves ONE question:
- what is the benefit of continuing what is perceived as not too enjoyable ( except if you enjoy kicking someone on the ground )
- what is to gain from simply ending it.
it does not look like ppl have all too much fun - but it looks like the only REASON to continue is to "get back at them" or simply "bash the weaker"
so if the BDM brings it up - is it really the RP opportunity they expect? or is it just to add a little more hurt...
or in other words - do you play together with other players in that community - or against them.

I conducted a recon mission to Omicron 74 a few weeks back to (inRP) determine whether the ZA were a threat to Rheinland national security or not, since they requested to move their capships through rheinland space. During my mission I did not fire a single shot at the ZA stations at O74 (I was in a fighter so there was no point and I didn't want to shoot anything since it was a recon mission). I was fired at by David Dvir, though I'm not sure if he gave an engagement notice or not (he said "what the...that's strange" and then started shooting).
As far as I know, no BDM units have fired on ZA bases. You'll have to ask some of the other BDM ppl if they fired on ZA ships though. AFAIK, ZA always seems to be firing first.
I think - keep your rp, improve the rule-following and don't give up!
Honestly, thanking to you we have got activity and fun back in southern Omicrons, you're something fresh, unusual.

Well from the reports I've read you certainly got your answer. Although I can't say I'm surprised after following the Liberty reports over the past months. It highlights the point I was trying to make earlier that the fact everyone hates them, may have a lot to do with how they act towards others.
The fact of the matter is, if you run around the street barking orders at people and jumping on peoples front gardens, chances are people are going to gain a very hostile attitude towards you very quickly.
