That I agree with, Chopper...
the Decurion with the new model should have some 1.3 - 1.4 in agility (Scimitair has 1.33).

Centurion some 1.25-1.3

Arwing fixed.

When it comes to VHFs I see only the two points I made in the last posts as usable.

Yes, but if you are making it even heavier then it should have a bit more energy as well.
Same with Templar, if Brets are not getting a HF.
Same with Nephtyss, for sure.
Same with Avenger (not Guardian).
Armor differences are too small comparing to agility differences.
So, maybe increasing them would help a bit.

Im a "hard gainer". IE. it takes me a long time to improve, but after 4 years of playing freelancer, flying Vanilla VHFs (Eagles, Sabres and Titans) I can hold my own in a Titan despite its' obvious disadvantages.

However, from an RP perspective, the Corsair fighter weaknesses are not fitting with RP.
1) Corsairs are supposed to be the best ship-builders in Sirius.

2) Sacrifices come with gains. Titan sacrifices turn rate and agility for increased armour. Other ships have drastically improved in comparison to the Titan (talking about ships Titans are likely to encounter) and I believe it would be best if Titan saw some kind of improvement to maintain the sacrifice-reward balance. Added fire-power (a forward-firing turret on a new model, perhaps?) or a significantly improved power-array (the Order's area of expertise, makes RP sense for Corsairs to improve their power arrays over time) would be great.

3) The Light-fighter options for the the Corsairs are still comparatively poor. (link to point 1)

I have voted for the Titan in all three cases, because the opponents were equipped with Justice MkI only.

Seriously: You will never have a fight between equal opponents. There are so many things that take influence. So it is all theoretically.

This is a good idea, and worth testing. Perhaps, using the same model, additional guns could be added (sort of like the Raven's Claw).

I think it is good that someone is coming up with ideas instead of moaning just now.

What about making it have exactly the power of supernova? I mean one supernova - whole energy bar down... Too strong then? Making pretorian useless?

Big no. Making Praetorian useless would be correct.
Titan is big-ass fighter, yes, but not that big. It can't be compared with a bomber (except Catamaran :S)

More energy so it can fire Mini Razor more often, maybe.
2 Torp slots for 2 mini razors, maybe, but i don't think so.
Supernova, nope, too much.

maybe not 2 razors - but if its a ship meant for pirating, why not give it a CD slot ( CD without torp like the death scythe ) - so it has more functionality than a sabre for pirating while still mainting a reasonable firepower.

Added fire power would neither compensate the drastic problem Titan harbors nor provide a practical solution. Altering its mass turn rate or strafing capability wouldn't make sense either since the ship is meant to be a heavy one which is obviously a pirating vessel more than an assault craft. I would like to see a new VHF for the Corsairs but because that would be most probably a non wire-framed one, its stats would need an alteration such that a decent balance between this new VHF, which could be a medium agile ship with decreased armor plating, and Sabre, Eagle line could be preserved.

A new day and a new view.

First of all, I would like to apologise for having a go at all of you, especially Martin.

And second of all, I would like to thank Elgatodiablo for showing me his theories on the nature of humans and how that nature relates to the overall balance here between Outcasts and Corsairs.

Currently, I would probably be in favour of increasing the armour by around 4k, and also the power plant. Perhaps a capacity just under the energy required to fire a nova torpedo (so still no bomber weapons, that would be a catastrophe on any fighter).

I wouldn't be in favour of a forward turret. That is a unique feature of the Sabre, retaining all 6 gun slots and a forward turret in addition.

I dont know about a extra CD only slot, as on the one hand, its good, but it makes the Titan more flexible than the other VHFs. But then again, its not very flexible as it is...

Two mini razors = instakill for all fighters except the Spatial, I don't think that's a good idea, especially if it's limited to Corsairs only.
