Ehm.. blunt... as I already wrote... and as you know pretty well.. you need at least two nuke hits to blow off some guns... three to blow off all of them.... 4+ to blow off a supernova.

It is easy to catch even a good player unaware and score one nuke hit...
but 90% of people don't make the same mistake in one fight again... so 2nd hit is much more difficult
and so on with 3rd...

It does severe damage to those guns though. Follow up with some sub-targetting. The Raven's Talon is especially weak here.

I don't want to see Vanilla ships gone.
I would prefer all ships being as Vanilla.
Also, I would love to see Nuke mines improved to some 15k damage.
So they can at least instant kill non-vanilla LF's.

What is more work, making all ships vanilla or making all ships non vanilla? I think increasing missile damage would just cause more damage to the balance system, because we would be getting into numbers that the capital ships find annoyingly high.

Nuke's being improved to 15k damage will again nullify the suggested armour boost, if the Titan is made with 4k extra armour... also, any Kusari gunboats out there will burn faster than a marshmallow in a fire.

Nuke, as it is, would most likely kill even improved Titan's armor. If not, it would rip both his wings off.
Same thing.

I think of all the ideas... I like the following.
OPTIONS:
=======
1. Give titan an extra CD slot. (A saber can not out turn a titan if it is being CD'd)
2. Add two turrets. (Its still slow but if you get a target in your sight, he will shread like a dandelion).
3. Combination of both (1 extra turret, 1 CD)

So basically give Titan a SHF status and Create a new VHF for corsairs...um...XENA.
As agile as Saber. Give it talon spces otherswise. AOM....this is your mission should you choose to accept it.

1. Disagreed. Engine kill has nothing to do with out turning. And it's not all about 1vs1.
One on one Titan has a good chance of beating a Sabre.
Bigger fights are a problem.

2.Maybe, they could be used for 2 tizona turrets, other 6 for hull.

3.Maybe the best.

I am actually amazed that no one mentioned guns here.
Salamancas need an upgrade, really.
For one, Corsairs have ships with more energy then others.
Then why are they making energy efficient but weak weapons?
I'd go with 600 dmg for 135 energy, or even 650 for 150.
Krakens would still be better, same energy efficiency but 700 speed.
Salamanca is really weak as it is, except it is very energy efficient.
But so are Nomad blasters, so that is not really some advantage.

huh ? :rtfm:look at this fighting rule form I am holding.
It clearly states that engine kill has a lot to do with turning.
If you dont believe me try to fight a taaidian without engine kill and see what happens.

I am very curious about your stance on this, Please explain.

CDs dont track fighters properly, they are too fast. They track gunboats and up just fine though.

adding a CD makes the Titan quite like a light fighter/bomber, which is what that new praetorian needs to be, aswell.

Wings on the Titan don't come off too easily now, but they are still large targets. Everything has to be relative here.

I would be in favour of an either/or scenario using these.

1. Armour (+4k base)
2. Increase Powerplant (old Werewolf in 4.83, that had a very powerful plant.)

Extra turrets, though I do love them... just wouldn't suit the Titan I think...
