Indeed, you picked nice colors, that combine well, some thin border capturing combination of those colors (but not to strong) would make it look more smooth.
At the moment it's missing something, feels like unfinished sig.

Optimus that purple flare is killing your sig. Why not try making it much smaller, like a sparkle in the eye and have the purple light go left and right, like you have, but thinner. I think it would make your sig look more elegant.

The purple flare is still way too much. Dim it down or get rid of it completely. It's really weird where it is. Border is not bad.

Is there something I could use in place of the flare? Something that hints at an inhuman nature.

Anom, the only problem i see in your sig is the text - it is hard to read. Maybe brighter blue stroke could fix that or coloring letteres into the text of the ship, kind of matching text/ship. I think it also would pretty sexy.
