The imbalance is caused by the OC having too many friends.
BD should be barely out of the red, and so far as I can tell, hessians and mollies are only allies of corsairs because of an enemy of my enemy thing.
Simply put, in my oppinion, the corsair/outcast alignment policy is bad politics, poorly thought out.

This would move the story on. If it did happen I think it needs to be "friendly" rather than allied, with only limited interaction permitted.

The Xenos have no allies, but share most of the same enemies as the corsairs. Certainly some closer bond has some benefits to both sides, which makes it logical. The xenos could gain access to Del Cids... and in return the Corsairs would gain a potential disruptive influence to their enemies. If it happens I think Nome should be set up to buy artifacts (I think it is the furthest from Corsair space).

Also I'd like to agree with the other posters. I also was saddened by the switch in Unioner alliances, and would prefer corsair/unioner to a corsair/xeno alliance. As it now makes all the Rhienland unlawfuls on the same side. Fighting between unlawfuls in the other houses helps highten the tension there.

I think you meant outcasts instead of corsairs. Other than that I agree with you that on the whole unlawful alliances are much to commonplace in Disco. I recently played vanilla again and realised how few existed prior to Disco.

Frankly if LSF is overwhelmed by two fornts attacking together...suddenly you will find NY real empty. I am not talking true allies, but people who reallize opportunities that attacking Liberty from 2 fronts would arise.

Its a good solution, rather short term though.

Ok everyone... Put down your drinks and get ready for this....

The Xenos should ally with the Corsairs... Vicariously through the Hogosha.

Wait. Let it sink in a bit.

The Hogosha would employ the Xenos as a means of weakening the grip of the Junkers within Liberty, towards gaining a corner on the artifact trade within Liberty and as a general expansion of their envelope of power.

Everyone else in Liberty is a Cardi sniffer or a Junker. It makes sense to me.

Reasonable, I like it. Though I also agree that Liberty shouldn't become a Corsair ZOI.
But Corsairs would at least have access to Black Widow guns (perfect weapon for titan:P), and it would make an excellent story between Hogosha and Xenos!
Xenos need money, Hogosha has money!
Hogosha don't want more money, they want more power, and they will gladly exchange more money for that power.
It makes sense to me, and it would be quite nice to see it worked up a bit.
Though Hogosha is friendly with Kusari corporations, that would mean that Xenos would have to move somewhere else to attack convoys.
Or to keep it a secret from Samura!

Nah, the Corsairs get on too well with Kusari to be friends with Xenos, who contain a lot of closet racists, really. I think that the Xenos are more likely to befriend the Unioners, actually, Rheinlanders with similar problems. The Corsairs might befriend the Unioners too, but the Corsairs won't get on well with the Xenos.

No way, don't wanna see Xenos in the lunchboxes. We have already enough problems in Liberty. And as for the RP wise, seconding what Adrian said.

I did not read the whole thread...

I think the factions should not be divided into 2 main pirate sides. At least not all of them.

-Xenos hate foreginers... No chance for Corsairs.
-Mollys have no friends, IMG should be the nearest. But Outcast alliance made them enemies.
-I dont think IMG should be friendly with corsairs. Thats the difference between Corsairs and Outcasts in IMG's sight?
-Blood Dragons hate cardamine...
