The Civvy bomber is abitch, it has frquent docking issues, i.e. you can dock with a station but you don't actually dock. The cut screen never goes but your ship is still there and vulnerable. Quick docking with the civ bomber is the only way to gaurantee docking every time.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
To quick dock, Basically what you do is you focus your ship on the entryway using the goto function. Then, you hit cruise. as you are headed in the right direction you change to free flight and right as you are about to hit the structure you are docking with you hit dock.
You should skip the cutscene and dock immediately
To be more precise, you have to aim for the stick-like-thing with the lights on it that some bases have, it is usually on the top, like Rochester or similar Junker bases.
