Take a lesson from history, people. WWII battleships were supposed to be huge, armored warships capable of sinkinking almost any other ship out there, until it was shown that a few bombers could fly over it, drop a few bombs/torpedoes and sink it. A tiny, relatively inexpensive bomber sank a much more expensive, much larger, much more powerful battleship. So, there's nothing wrong, inaccurate, or illogical with our current setup.

All you whiners about this seem to forget that big capships were never meant to fly unsupported, especially in the presence of enemy bombers. Either fly with fighter support, or learn to effectively counter bomber attacks, or just learn to lose gracefully.

I would not compare the modern times ( wwii is considered modern as opposed to now, which is "information age" ) to freelancer times, although the formulas and calculations are the same, the figures are different. In this instance, a bomber could fire a snac every 10-12 seconds, a weapon that can deliever a punch on anything is infact NOT RATIONAL. Novas ARE rational because theres no limit of how much enenrgy input a missile can deliever, considering its structure ( chemical missiles do less damage than Direct-attack missiles - but has a wider "damage effect" is just one example, nuclear missile is another example, yet for some reason - you have a gun that can deliever almost the same punch every 10 seconds without losing its powercore.

Bombers were invented to destroy larger ships. Solaris turrets were invented for destroying smaller ships. They both exist for a good reason, balance really isn't necessary if you equip yourself for the condition, or if you have Fighter support.

Currently unable to consistently be present in the Community due to life constraints.

Well, it's an ANTI-MATTER cannon. The damage is going to be different than a chemical or nuclear attack, as the effects are different. And it DOES drain a bomber's power plant, quite significantly.

As has already been stated...the problem is not the SNAC. The problem is the capship tactics. They are not meant to be flown solo and just destroy everything in their path. Bombers were designed to KILL capships. Fighters...if flown well, are VERY GOOD at killing bombers. This promotes teamwork and effective use of tactics. Or...use a Cruiser and cruiser missles to go after a bomber.

we also got fighters on our side but they also cant do anything, because 3 bombers can dodge their attacks and keep nova on BS, and destroy it anyway, then what you do? dodging and keep nova BS is piece of cake, so fighters cant save BS either really, so discovery makers need to consider this bombers are over powered and BSs are bees now, or People keep leaving disco when they see their huge ship getting destroy by 2 bomber. sad balance.

If fighters don't work, then they're either not good enough at the defence (which is fine, not everyone is the best pvper ever) then try using gunboats that have anti-snub loadouts. Solaris turrets, pulses, Shock rays....


One key thing you need to remember, what everyone needs to remember is that flying a capital ship does not mean you will win every fight you get into.

so it means you have to find people with gunboats and best fighters first before you fly you battleship? what kinda defenseless battleship is that? well then nobody want to fly such battleships anymore then,they just leave or quit on caps,, even better fighter pilots cant stop 2 ,3 bombers from nova a BS.

BSs can't mount CDs...and shouldn't...as there are more than enough other craft that can do so and are DESIGNED as interceptors.

If you're referring to the fighters...either they can't CD the novas because A) they suck B) they didn't mount any or C) they didn't know that they could.

In any case...this guy seems to be whining because they are SNACing his BS...and those can't be intercepted.

Get some skilled fighters for cover (maybe HIRE some if you have the money) and your BS will survive longer against bombers.
