so first to find the crew that make your BS survived, then i prefer to fly a fighter of cost 1 million rather then spending billion on a defenseless BS, because you cant just killed a fighter if he want to escape, and you cant save a BS even you want to escape, so better have fun with fighter rather then feel like a BS stupid.

Gotta say that I somewhat agree with this, if battleships weren't meant to kill everything in their path then what were they made for? They certainly aren't mobile bases as they are only found within house territory (Save invasions). They also aren't made for planetary conquests as carriers do a better job. The only thing I can see them useful for is orbital bombardment, but players can't do that.

I say just remove them. Let cruisers be anti-cap and carriers be...carriers.

EDIT: Better idea, let them be RP only ships like the Bretonian Cruise Liner.

The rare sub-species of human that gives out info that nobody actually cares about...

I was there few times, it was always terrible hard in the beginning. But, BS captains made it possible by following mistakes:

we also got fighters on our side but they also cant do anything, because 3 bombers can dodge their attacks and keep nova on BS, and destroy it anyway, then what you do? dodging and keep nova BS is piece of cake, so fighters cant save BS either really, so discovery makers need to consider this bombers are over powered and BSs are bees now, or People keep leaving disco when they see their huge ship getting destroy by 2 bomber. sad balance.

If fighters don't work, then they're either not good enough at the defence (which is fine, not everyone is the best pvper ever) then try using gunboats that have anti-snub loadouts. Solaris turrets, pulses, Shock rays....


One key thing you need to remember, what everyone needs to remember is that flying a capital ship does not mean you will win every fight you get into.

so it means you have to find people with gunboats and best fighters first before you fly you battleship? what kinda defenseless battleship is that? well then nobody want to fly such battleships anymore then,they just leave or quit on caps,, even better fighter pilots cant stop 2 ,3 bombers from nova a BS.

It's called strategy. If you can't be bothered to go into a fight with a good strategy prior, then exploding is your own fault.

No need to balance, capwhores, fly snubs, they require skill, especially in 4.87, or you want caps to kill snubs?

2 bombers killing 10 caps is normal, l2p.

The irony is that if they do make bs op then the bombers will be more fun to fly, you would need to think more and work as a team.
Right now killing bs is boring, you hit a snac, fly back to recharge, hit another snac and so on.
But hey, who am i to stand in the way of your misery.

make incap torps useful, remove SNAC, increase bomber ammo to 85 missiles.

Make bombers actually use bombs, and not have a weapon that does damage in-proportional to the energy usage (comparing with, lets say Light Mortar). Give some more speed to both novas and incaps and buff their tracking (mostly talking about incaps) and the explosion range of incaps too.

There, bombers fixed.

This argument is useless dont bother post anymore about BS vs bombers coz the so called Elite players and superior intelect here will kep troolling and troolling all the time.

Im tired of this trooling ingame and in forum they will never lisen and they will never change their minde coz this is who they are, and coz of them many ppl has left disco.

In 3 years here i try all the time to talk to this ppl not only about caps but many aspect of the game that i found bad in my opinion but they just start troling and troling.

Just do like im doing login your charters once a weak just not to get deleted and play some other games till this old ppl get out of the way or they start changing is not worth weast your breath.

Would be good to see Novas have much better acceleration and speed, but possibily worse tracking?
The thing is, it seems hard to buff Novas and remove snacs without turning Novas into an even better anti-snub weapon than the SNAC was.

I can understand every battleship owner, that it should not be ok, that 3 bombers would be able to destroy a battleship. However... game's limit gives no other chances.
Just imagine, that single battleship would be worth fighting a dozen bombers? And you have 4 such ships, but they are hostile. So what it would be? Logging 6 battleships, or dozen of cruisers or half of server should log their bombers to deal with just 4 battleships? Confused

I once did 8 on 1 in a Cruiser and won. 6 snubs and 2 GBs vs me. Hell I've tried 11 snubs on me and it went pretty good for a while...

People seriously need to learn how to fly their fat ships.
