Which sun is the most powerfull? cause the one in leeds is massive! i had a battle star advanced with Mk7 armor and i didnt get to the centre ( 3k before i died). Has any one found a more powerfull one?

PS the one in theta is worse then the one in new york! jeez give it a bit of punch! i got to the middle with a talon in cruise with Mk7 armor!!!!!

PPS or is it PSS? anyway the only reason i do this is cause im suercidal maniac ingame. (trust me on that one)

Well, refer to the main sequence chart of stars at wikipedia here. With that you will be able to identify the "power" output of a star.

I once used a star to escape a certain death with my cruiser. That was in the days of the -=?=-.
I was being hunted by 3 huegenots. I was on a Lib cruiser, the Defender.
I knew i wasnt powerful enough to kill them all and survive, so i escaped through a star corona. 2 huegs took heavy damage, 1 was destroyed because he didnt abort the hunt.
I took so much damage that i had to get a mercy kill to restore my lost equipment.

The stars in Freelancer have damage numbers. Say one sun can be set to do 5,000 damage. Then another one (usually bigger or brighter ones) can have 100,000 damage. The thing about being killed before you reach the center is affected by both damage and the extent of the sun corona. A sun with a corona stretching 20K with a damage of 5,000 could kill you farthur away from the center than a sun that extends 5K and does 15,000 damage. Also the distance into the corona you are determines what factor of the damage you recieve. So a star that does 100,000 damage will do 100,000 damage if you are sitting within 2K of the center. But if you were sitting say 10K away you are likely to get about 10-20k damage.

Also Stars damage are not affected by armor upgrades. They take the damage directly from you hull points.

Omega-11, Omega-41 (maybe?!), Omega-47 (the one close to the planet with Casablanca Base in orbit)

Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. C) Omega 11 is pretty bad too. I was sittin there mabye 5minutes while it cooked my hull and i still got bored and decided to find a better one... jeez its that bad.
