To all the mercs out there using the BD HF and BD bomber.. There are LAWFUL equivalents. The Chimaera is just as good, sacrificing just the slightest agility (too little to even notice most of the time) for an extra 1,000 or so armor. And you can actually fight pirates with it without being OORP or being labeled as a pvp whore. Oh and chopper, if your flying out with that BD HF shooting pirates on the Outcast side of the war, then yes, I'd label you as pvp whoring.. Change to a Chimaera if you fight pirates as your merc. Keep the BD HF if your taking jobs against lawfuls. Or go buy a different ship entirely, like a civilian one like mercs SHOULD do.. And for bombers, use the LAWFUL one from Kusari. It is the EXACT same as the BD Bomber..

I think the people who go around shooting pirates with pirate ships (exception is a ship from Outcast side of war shooting someone from Corsair side of the war) should be sanctioned.. The Blood Dragons wouldn't be selling their best ship out to neutral mercenaries who will turn around and shoot them or their allies/friends.. It just makes no sense and has no RP to it, just like the majority of mercenaries out there.

BHG bomber is as agile... and has 5 gunslots... (one is lvl 9 though). Better to have a gunslot than a turret (since 95% of the factions have turrets based off lvl 8 guns)

The GC signed an alliance with the Blood Dragons/NovaPG which has granted us access to the Blood Dragon fighter and Bomber. However, we have to register every one we purchase and who it goes to and we certainly would not give it to anyone outside of the Golden Chrysanthemum (all of whom have to become cardamine addicts as a requirement for initiation into the group anyway).

The Blood Dragons are extremely tight with their ships and i've often thought that the amount of mercenaries and "neutrals" that fly it is a bit ridiculous. Perhaps it should be moved to Mito Shipyards instead. I've been attacked by a lawful mercenary flying a Blood Dragon VHF in Chugoku before, and it is just...wrong.

Especially considering, to my knowledge, the Golden Chrysanthemums are the ONLY group ever to have been given access to the Blood Dragon fighter/bomber (it's possible I may be mistaken, but even if I am, it's certainly limited solely to Outcasts and Golden C, nobody else).

I think that was the perfect move to make, Gronath. No one has the right to force you to play the game their way without regard for your own enjoyment. Sometimes, the retreat rules put a big crimp in that, but the fact is that to a person who just wants someone to pay attention to them, being ignored is the worst thing you can do to them.

Hey, hey... I don't know about other Mercs, but I got the ONLY Reaver bomber from the NovaPG with Bulldog's permission. We needed a bomber to kill Days of Thunder, and got one. We earned it, the hard way. If the others can't do that, they don't deserve to fly one.

As for this nameless Corsair.... *sigh* I'll pay my Merc to kill him in Sigma-13...

You were flying a RM bomber armed with Tizonas and attacking a Corsair GB!!!

And what's even worse, you were doing it as AW, not as a merc.

You can label me as a PVP whore, but I never did certain things you did.
I never attack first without a warning given. You did that, and you did that to me, in a (already mentioned) RM bomber.
I never attack anyone with my merc, unless he has a bounty on his head.
I don't even care if he's lawful or unlawful. If someone gives me a contract against RM, i will fulfill it.
However, I won't fulfill a contract against Liberty authorities, because it doesn't fit in my story.
Anyway, I'm not really using that character often.

Point is - That story is a parody! It is supposed to represent all those people who think of RP stories just to get a better craft!
And let's face it, almost everyone who writes an RP story about getting a ship, is doing it to get a better ship, not worse one!
How is it in RP for a Hacker to fly a Kusari destroyer?
How is it in RP for an Outcast to fly a Brettonia BS?

2) Mr. Krieger, members of the Grau family have been forced away from NB, talked to peaceably, scanned always, and were always met with your excellent rp. Keep it up. You are too good of a role player to be wasting your time with this person.

3) I agree with the whole blood dragon ships staying in bd space. A bd gb tried to tax hersteller in Magellan...strange I thought, and the pilot just had a generic pilot id. When I killed him...the second time he went on about how he could tax traders in another system because I couldn't attack again for another 4 hours. With him I decided, not worth my time, as this guy isn't worth yours.

Would have mentioned that myself if you hadn't. Seriously, we could do some massive server cleaning if we put the PvP server link easier to find than the RP one, or spelled out RP; a lot of the random PvP whores simply don't know any better, and don't want to lose all their stuff to switch servers when they find out (which is hilarious, since you start with 100 mil on PvP and can transfer stuff from RP -> PvP... but they wouldn't know that unless they checked the forums...).

ANYWAY, advertising the PvP server more might help focus the RP server a lot more on actual RP; also, far out suggestion, but perhaps starting credits -> uber huge so that people would be less concerned with power trading since they wouldn't have to. Not sure at all on that, but maybe it's worth discussion.
