This brings to mind a situation that I had recently.

Klaudia was flying through Colorado and someone said that they just completed a mission against Junkers...not knowing a junker was in-system. She coaxed him into giving her more information and learned that he took the Junker back to Duray base. She went and attacked the base and said for the base to relinquish the captured junker or all ships nearby would be killed and the station would be heavily damaged. Next thing I know I got three coalition ships coming in saying that the Junker will not be released.

A brief battle began and one coalition ship died and after some more fighting the other two retreated. I go back to the base land on top of the base (like I am boarding it, after all my crew has light arms with them) and demand the release of the Junker. Now we all know I couldn't physically get a Junker pilot...but hey it is role play and that is what I do.

So I get the Junker and then I head back to ny. On the way back I see two HF ships engaging a coalition that fled from me. I then join in and attack the coalition. After a few seconds one HF tells me, "Would you mind leaving, you are ruining the balance." Correct me if I am wrong but isn't more help good?

Now to his credit he said that to me in private chat but it still would have been good to hear something like, "Kampfer, we appreciate the assistance but we got this guy."

Though it goes back to people not really rping and not liking cap ships(Klaudia flies a gb), but I gave a rp answer because that is just me. I replied something like, "Hellfire pilots I see you have the situation under control, I will be departing to ny."

Point being too few know how to rp and people don't like caps. Good post Megido.

Surely Eppy, to deal with it in RP would be the MOST preferable option. And Megiddo... Very eloquent and well put, I agree with your senitiment entirely. We should all be nicer to each other, even if someone's RP or ship choice isn't to your taste. We shouls perhaps gently guide them in the right direction rather than just out and out shouting people down...

Play nice kids.
