Where I come from: I come from the rust-bucket station of Freeport - 9. Born and raised. When I was 13, my father took me out on test flights in one of his prized fighters, and ever since then, I've wanted to go and explore never before seen systems and planets, and be the explorer everyone told stories about. The explorer that found a home for the Phoenix. Of course, that dream was short-lived, instead of finding a new system, I found the importance of community, and friendship. The thirst for adventure still lives inside of me, but I search for a home as well, now. My father died a few years ago, and he was the only family I had, besides one of my aunts and a half-cousin that insists on calling me matty. However, he probably did it to himself. He was a bounty-hunter, the old fool. Always making people angry. Heh. I'll never forget him...

Hello there. Before I begin, i'd like to say that I absolutely hate these things. Writing a life story to a screen, and sending it as information is quite funny, whereas person to person is much more efficient. Although it seems I have no choice but to go along with this crude way of choosing a person, so i'll play along.

Where I came from hmm.. I live alone regretfully, wandering from place to place. I've seen countless planets, and stars. Nomadic I suppose is a word you'd call it, something you appear to pride yourself on as well to a degree. Perhaps a reason why i've been attracted slightly to how things work. Or at least things i've heard.
Last up.. Where's the last question on this blaste-.. Oh. Why? I know what i'm doing, i've studied countless subjects, however I lack the resources to make any use of it. Perhaps you may see it in a selfish light right now, although of course, you'll gain something out of it too. At least thats what i'm going to tell you, writing answers to these questions on a screen never gives the complete truth. Again. Ask me in person, will you? This is giving me a headache. I was born on Freeport 9, to my since then passed Mother, a simple woman, and my father, a researcher much like i am myself. I've grown up with my dad, learning his trait, and when he passed not too long ago, i took over his work, along with his Ship.
I spend my days out in the Deep 'crons, collecting samples of our blue friends, although they do not much like it, studying them, their cells, whatever i can learn about it.

Well i was born somewhere in Sirius space aboard a Zoner transport.. You can say i was born as a pilot. My father a Rheinland explorer and tradesman, my mother a zoner trader. I grew up and learned the "trade" from my parents, while travelling Sirius from system to system. The longest time i stayed one place was a few months, on one of the Freeports.
When i reached age 16, my father dissapeard while on an exploration mission, unsure of his fate, i left my family and started a futile search that lasted for 4 years.
At an age 19 i made the biggest mistake ever... In an effort to score some "easy" cash i was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Threatened by a ragtag group of Outcasts & other "scum", i tried to smuggle contraband into Rheinland space... Of course it was destined to fail, and i was stopped by the police.
The fact that i had been threatened and blackmailed into illegal business, gave me a unsusal mild sentence: 3 Years at remote mining station. (Why my sentence was so short i dont know... (Rheinland has always been notorius for harsh jugdement)
Around my 22 birthday, i was released... When i returned "home" to my family i discovered that my mother had died, and that i had inherited her old Albatross Cargo ship.. I'd rather not go more into details since its only 3 years since she passed.....
Well now you know the minor details about me, and why i scratch a living as a honest cargo trader now. Feel free to ask me about what you wanna know. On a side note: I dont think a list of my hobbies are required for joining a faction *a short laugh*

Well i am never going to deal with Outcasts/Pirates again. Sure i made some "friends" while being in mining-prison, but i do everything to avoid them.
I like a good fight, but i would never be able to live the life of a Bounty Hunter, i am a tradesman and explorer by heart.
I have managed to stay way from greedy House Corporations since like forever, and i will continue to stay way from them.
The military? Never! I am a Zoner not a butcher. And yes i could follow a good leader, but i prefer not to "rule" or be "ruled".
Oh and when i was younger my uncle persuaded me not to join TAZ (Odd religious nutjobs as he used to say...) so thats why i am not with them. Even if i wanted to join them i would not be able to understand what they say or talk about. Never been that spiritual.

Firstly, I'm sorry for your loss. It must be hard to lose both of your parents that young and sudden.
The rumors what you have heard about us are mostly correct. We are indeed a group of free people, all of us with the most different backrounds. We are explorers, traders, researchers and also shipbuilders sharing a common goal, to find a place what we can call home.
The little summary of your life convinces me that you understand our ideals and you can be a valuable addition to this group, helping to achieve our real purpose. In exchange, the Phoenix will provide you a new family, new friends and numerous opportunities to live a constructive life.

I am a dual citizen of Kusari and Liberty, but I've spent most of my life in and around Liberty.
I have no personal connection to Phoenix or the Zoners beyond a philosophical appreciation of what you guys are about. I was born on Kyushu to a family of rice farmers. We moved to Pittsburg during my formative years (way back in 800 when the economic decline in Kyushu was just starting), where my Father was promised work as a boron miner. Sounds like a side grade right? Well it pretty much was, but the work was comparatively stable and through it he managed to save up enough creds to send me to a tenth-way decent secondary education school on Manhattan. I made the best of it that I could but hey, Im not really the academic type. So when I took a 2 week flight simulation course for giggles and managed to do well enough to earn a sponsorship for college from DSE, I thought I had it made!
The sponsorship payed for a civilian pilots license (Didn't do well enough for Military; I wasn't THAT good), with the clause that I took a 4 years contract as a transport pilot for DSE. I was so ready to live this awesome life of freedom and wealth amongst the stars, the kind that no one in my family had ever experienced before.
What I actually experienced was a 4 year long reality dose. While flying for the DSE, damn near everything I did from the moment I woke up to the moment I hit the hay was dictated by my job, I had no freedom of choosing my destination, barely any vacation time, the pay was mediocre, and I was robbed by pirates more times than I can count. Well; I stuck it out and did my four years, took my cash, and haven't looked back.
-Why I'd like to join-
The point of saying all that being that between myself and my family we have spent far too much of our lives being wage-slaves to House corporations, and I want out! I'm ready to experience the life of true freedom Phoenix claims to offer. I'm willing to contribute to the welfare of the group and be a team player, so long as at the end of the day I know I can always buzz off to who knows where and do whatever if I so choose.
In terms of qualifications I'm a fully licensed pilot with my own ship, I've been doing Freelance work for the past few days and my combat skills have improved at least a bit since that training simulation.
I hope to make a decent addition to your society and help in the search for an independent place to settle.
