Here at Deep Space Engineering, we want to know what you think.

Please keep in mind, we assist a lot of new pilots by providing them with a steady income and a good team to assist them in their transition into space life, for this reason there may be situations that aren't part of how we work, as hard as we try to keep them on the right path, mistakes can be made - We would like to know if you see anything out of the ordinary to point these pilots in the right direction.

So we can process and deal with your feedback, and comments quicker - provide the following information if it is applicable.

Hey guys. I just read over your new promotion requirements - as a long time corporate faction leader, I've got to say, the path to <strike>hell</strike> inactivity is lined with good intentions. While those requirements may not run the group into the ground, they're going to kill off your recruitment pool and demotivate your current players.

200 hours to fly a 5k transport? That's absurd. There's two main reasons people join corporate factions - the RP angle (lore, convoys, etc) and 5k transports. If they wanted to be pigeon-holed into a BWT for 100 hours (well, 80 hours seeing as they'll be in a Mammoth for the first 20), then a Titanic for another 100, they'd just use a generic ID.

Either that or just stay indy. Bowex had a trial period where ships were restricted by rank and recruits were required to fly smaller ships for 8 hours. Needless to say, even a fundamentally basic requirement like that crippled our recruitment pool. I really don't want to see this happen to you guys, so it may be worth reviewing those numbers.

Hey, at the moment it is just a trial thing, our previous ranking system wasn't working, so we are just playing around with a few ideas.

It is good to know you think the numbers may be a little high, and I will review them:)

Glad to hear it. The only time numbers like that should come into play is if your faction is so popular that the number of members is actually overwhelming the management infrastructure. There isn't a faction on the server that could honestly claim that, so knocking the numbers down would probably help. Us corporate factions really can't afford to be putting recruits off. :P

10 hours per rank might be a good starting point?

I've changed the timing considerably, it seems to be working for a few more people now.

Hello! One of your recruits was sitting idle and unresponsive in Pennsylvania for more than half an hour. When they did respond, it was apparently a case of not knowing that sitting AFK in space for long periods of time was a problem.

Could I constructively suggest dropping a memo within the office just to remind everyone?
