Why cant you people just let zoners be how they are? 62 pages isnt worth it. simple and effective solution

Just thought i'd put these compromise Ideas out here, in the hope that we might get the dev opinion.

Aquilon counter proposal Version 1:
remove the heavies.
switch 2 of the prims to where the heavies were. (from bottom to top)
remove the resultant vacant turret slots on the bottom
keep it jump capable by itself
At least a BC core. - with BC Core, that would be JD2
either keep hull as is, or nerf it slightly to 800k to trade off for the prims.

if possible, with a bit of extra tweaking of the JD3 stats (and aquilon powercore balancing), efficient jump usage might be possible.

Not gonna waste time trying to debate this, though i disagree with it.

However, i will state that the nephelim replace seems a bit...against common sense.

Lets take a big ship that sails through areas riddled with asteroids, and put a bunch of fragile solar panels sticking off the side.

Be like the resheph, you will hit EVERYTHING. Wasnt as much of a problem with old aquil since it could shrug off alot, but as a transport i dont see huge spindly things everywhere being too much of a benefit in its primary operation areas.

that, and exposed fuel tanks? really?

The body looks fine but the panels and all the antennas will be a nightmare to use if its hitboxed. Considering that most of the zoner stations are in astroid field filled systems.

well my big "friend" you know the nomad gunboat is buffed and has cruiser turrets if im not mistaken? Also not sure if its changed yet, but i remember the faction khara asking for a cargo buff on it so it can have a cau8 and gb cloak. Which makes it basically the most imballanced gb.. My word.. Now lets talk about the tundra.. Knowing zapp isn't playing anymore and he was given that Srp, also seeing there is no srp request for flying it by someone else.. I wonder about the rules on this... Or why does nomads need the tundra? When they have a fantastic shipline already?

The Persephone is inRP the only warship. All the other are colony ships, transports and llighter security ships. some tech is researched from the Persephone to use on ships like the whale, Strangely enough.. but i guess you don't even know that.. Figures...Now you may pm me and explain me fully, why nomads need the tundra? Especially since that rp is fully extinct now..

ask Yuri, he has its keys and fly it sometimes. At least last I know about it..

But all in all you can question a lot of the mod. Why does corsairs have a bs? (lorewise) or outcasts have 2? Img as a mining faction having an own cap ship (cruiser) and access to the biggest caps ingame. Highly skilled miners they are I wonder. But it really doesn't matter, because all got into the game due to players wanting to have capital ships for their favourite faction. While some are left behind due to lack of interest it created during the time the mod exists a lot of fun encounters.

Actually one can argue that Nomad weaponry heavily out classes Sirian weaponry and as a result would be able to pull something off similar to what Saronsen described...

Though I am heavily biased towards tentacles, so, take it as you may.

Then according to RP the Liberty navy already owns New Berlin.

Or whoever it is that's winning the capspam battles at the moment.

I'm not saying that PVP cannot influence RP. the fact that I'm in the process of paying out a bounty means that I cannot say that. I'm saying that PVP cannot be the be all and end all of Roleplay and there needs to be a balance between the two. After all, if PVP is the only thing that affects RP I may as well delete all my characters right here and now because I am the worst PVPer ever.

It's what we could whip up in a short time. We haven't got access to everything. The forum search is immensely frustrating, searching Nephilim returns about 9 results every time for me and I'm not sure why, only one of them is Zoner related.
