I say create a testing period, apply this measure on the server for a week or so, and let the community see its merits and potential exploits.
After that period, bring it up to discussion again, whether to keep it, change it or discard the nanobots measure.

While i did voted no because at the moment snub fights are entirely about skills and they definitely don't need another overhaul and should in fact be more friendly to newbs,as in less skill based than they are now

However if there will be a way to only applies this to GB,Transports,Caps now that will be something willingly to see and experience ,but i don't think you can change the amount of the nanobots can repair for every ship ,so..i'll just hang out on my dream instead Big Grin

Wouldn't it be easier to test this on the ground and wait for the aftermath and then do the numbers? If theres a mini update coming then this probably a good time to throw all the ideas and see what fits and whats not. Forum-lancing opinions are not exactly real as opposed to experience.

As with any major change like this, test it first. Personally, from the concept, I don't feel intrigued. However, I don't feel against it either.

The concept is cool, but this wouldn't be. Mines are way too easy to use for them to be balanced instakill weapons on any VHFs. On top of that, if you change things so that someone is either going to drain themselves too quickly, or risk dying to a nuke, they're just going to shield run to negate the risk of dying to a nuke. That's no fun for anyone.

Even though I blindly voted for this change, bloogaL has a point.

I'd much rather see skill-based instakills like MR + 2.00 setups be buffed (or well, the MR change reverted) than make everyone able to get luck-based instakills just because their opponent wanted to play 'economically'.

On one hand, this'll make fights quicker in general. On the other hand, it further stimulates shieldrunning (which is already, generally, a beneficial thing to do in group fights).

Don't fix what ain't broken. Again. Y'all seem to have a habit of breaking things that weren't broken to begin with.
