all thats a bit rich coming from you tel. having to RP for core enhancement just prohibits lolbases from springing up as core 4 overnight.

Right, so Im supposed to spend five months filing srp for cores on a hessian station - when corsairs can simply take it out while I sleep. Given your changes theres no reason for anyone to build any stations anymore, and some unofficial factions are doing just that - so it seems that every update you pull a screw from this mod and its begining to break down, and don't be too over confident, just because most people here didnt condemn this change doesn't mean people dont condemn this change. I'm sure the aftermath is going to be a lot more intresting then the event itself, and I can tell you for sure what name they will remember.

Also, if you are incapable of understanding what you have just done, perhaps you no longer fit to be the "FLhooker". No one is a saint, including me - but I don't favor one side over the other and tell people to shove it, except the ones who do deserve.

Tel, I'm the FLHooker because my job in the dev team is to maintain and write the FLHook plugins we use, not because I claim to be the lord of plugin balance.

Have these changes already been made now?

! - my base (core 4) seems to need TWO TIMES MORE Reinforced Alloy now (~6000 in ~8 hrs). - !

That's NOT -like promised- 2 TIMES EASIER TO SUPPLY BUT ALMOST 2 TIMES MORE WORK!


(It's also NOT REALLY 2 TIMES EASIER to supply a base, just because it needs half amount of RA, it will also need Food, Oxygen and Water!)

So, what we get is:
- TWO TIMES MORE WORK TO SUPPLY and in exchange
- FOUR TIMES EASIER TO GET DESTROYED


fair deal?

PLEASE POST FACTS about:
How long does it take to BUILD a core4-base with 10 people?

why does it now only take ~90 minutes for 10 people to destroy this work?

because some people like to shoot around ...???

fair deal? ...time to leave the game? ...time for new devs/admins with GOOD ideas?

Yes, I will cling on every little piece of wood work there is - because I have an obligation to ensure that all the professional complainers who wanted this change so badly can go and scream one more time in front of a mirror. You carefully ignore the facts, and you airbrushed so many arguements that people raised that Im just surprised why you even bother replying. No one has ever said that the attacking side shouldnt have a chance, but it has been said and done ( BY YOU ) against the defending side.

Not only you ask people to srp 2/3/4 in a 4 months period - you also let them know in advance, that even if they manage to bring it to core 4 - any dedicated bunch of hessies/corsairs/council/rogues can simply take it out in less than two hours, Add to that, most people live half way around the world.
Tell me exactly how these facts fit the "balance" you once said, It doesn't - so stop defending it and get real.

Tel, I bother replying because I am pleased in the knowledge that there isn't a single person on the forums outside of your ZA buddies who actually agrees with you in any way about this matter.

If you choose to try building a base in Hessian territory that is hostile to the Hessians, then you should not expect it to survive. Same goes for Corsairs, or Council, or Rogues, or Liberty Navy, or GRN, or even the ZA.

It takes a fair bit of time to build a core 4 base because RP is needed -- this is assumed to involve RPing with forces surrounding your base in order to secure it from capital fleets that may want it demolished.

Basically, the RP period required for upgrading through the different cores is there to give you some time to create invulnerability through diplomacy.
