So, No more use of Phantom assets by the faction who got approved by community ??

If yes, then probably, what Infrared is doing is the best way to move now, taking into account the worst possible case, isn't it ?

I am considering writing Nomads and the Daam K'vosh out of the Etherium history and proposal entirely and replacing them with another entity that attacks their home system (one that will never be featured here). This would open up and opportunity for possible non-hostile Etherium/Nomad diplomacy in the future, and may make the proposal as a whole more palatable to the admin/dev team.

Good idea or bad idea?

If the idea of changing this has crept after a talk with admin/dev, then I got no say. It's your work and its upto you to script it the way you want.

But if the idea is just one of those that has erupted in a spare time, then I would say try serious reconsidering it. The Hostility with Nomads, brings the very much needed "competition" / "activity" in passing through the fields to mine Iridium.

The "Indie Nomads" restricted to Omicron space due to their ID limits can very much get something to RP with and activity like this will bring "RP giants" OC/Sair faction to have a say in such work.

For me, I vote it as "Bad Idea" ... Trust me, the originality of your script had won community's love, changing the antagonist of your story might as well stir mixed response which might not work in your favour.

I have to admit this is a compelling argument. The idea has been thrown around a bit and the original plot of the nomad war has been removed however the nomads themselves stayed as part of the plot and as yet I haven't been told I can't have them in the story so they have stayed.

Unless a dev weighs in with a reason why they absolutely shouldn't be there, I guess I should probably leave it how it is.

The nomad as enemy have potential. You can't ally with them yes but open the posibility to blame humanity for what happen. After all without Trent and the order the Etherium Homeworld would still stand. Right?

You can start hunt humans, declare war against factions like the order or take the oposite path and acept than the humans have no way to know what will happen to the Etherium people, and if they would they haven't any other choice anyway. Besides is unlikely than the nomad see you as potential alies.

My opinion is that if you want to replace the nomads of your history make sure it will be worth.

This user talks little to none english. If you find something wrong tell him.

Originally it was written this way however the K'hara leaders were not happy with it written that way and it has since been changed. The antagonists for the Etherium invasion are still nomads, but they are from outside of Sirius.

I imagine that if you were attacked by a race of aliens and then escaped to a place where the same aliens exist, you would still harbour some resentment for them, even though they may have no knowledge of what has happened. This leaves room for alien drama and diplomacy further down the track.

Hope this clears things up.

Are the Nomads in discovery cut off from the rest and they got no way to communicate with ones away from Sirius. I thought they have the Mindshare ("the mind thingie") now ...

Just food for thought ... *have no idea*

This isn't for me to answer. They may or may not know, however that decision will most likely be up to the K'hara faction leaders and the development team.

Any updates on this?

A good write up as this is not worth going unnoticed for, so long.
