/OORP:
Ok, the texture is still a bit of a WIP at the moment, and I haven't come up with a name for it yet.
I consent that it's not up to me in the end which faction this ship goes to if accepted into the next build, however since all my characters are Corsairs (except for trader/smuggler, which is affiliated with the Junkers), I would like this ship to be available to them as a destroyer type vessel.

Does the Huntress fit into Corsair design? The Osiris?

Yea, the handlebars don't look right. I want to emphasize this is NOT the final version;)

Ummmm...

Excuse my language, but...what the hell?

I know you're corsair aligned, but the corsairs have a good deal of ships already.

to be objective about the design..

at first glance, it looked familiar - sort of similar to the "orca" gunboat made by AoM. the general "speedboat" like shape and the flat design give it away.

while it looks good from the top and front, it is strange from the sides. - the main body ends quite apruptly, while the front extensions look very thin form the side. - the texture is good, - but i d prefer something around the BHG / liberty skin tone ( greyish / steel ) - then it would fit into the BHG line of ships ( maybe we can replace the corellian blockade runner models some day )

what i do not like much are the white "wings" - first thing they reminded me on were rabbit ears. ( maybe cause its eastern ) they look strangly out of place - and i think the design looks better without them - or with some vertical fins.

its hard to determine the size of the ship. - it does look a bit of cruiser size, but doesn t share the "typical" freelancer window design or "bridge" models. ( freelancer ships are much more "ships" than .... well, most other sci - fi ships ... sort of )

other than that, its a good design, i think. i wouldn t try to squeeze it into the corsair fleet, but rather check what you can make of it and then consider a faction.

I can kind of see, if you painted the thing in Black (IE Order colours), then maybe, just maybe, it could be an Order destroyer.

But, that aside, I dont think the model looks FLish enough. Especially the *cough* colourful description of the motorcycle handlebars.

I can see that you are pretty good at modeling, but you need to find out what ships we need and what ships we dont before you begin to model. I am pretty sure the Order need a good capitalship line, as they have none as it stands. However, despite what I said earlier in this post, I just dont think this fits FL at all...

hum like previously mentionned, it does looks like a bug.
the white things really looks like horns...

and overall, doesnt look corsair at all - and guys, dont bring back the osiris, huntress stuffs -_-... this is previous implementation. If you havent noticed, the tendencies these days are making ships as close to vanilla design as possible.

it is a pretty good render i must say. but i am going to have to agree with the other people here it doesnt look at all like a corsair ship. its essentially a bug with engines. it isnt for this mod buddy. but a very good effort. try rendering something that is for a faction that doesnt really have many ships of their own to choose from

to save yo the effort of clicking on the link that McNeo has given you here is the list of needed ships...

We need:
- A Zoner Gunboat or Gunship (IMG gets one and the Zoners don't?)
- A Bretonian Gunship (to balance the huge gunboat)
- A Bretonian Heavy Fighter (something to bridge the vast difference between Hussar and Templar)
- A GMG capship (gunboat, gunship, light cruiser... They DID beat back Rhineland)
- A research/science vessal (new small liner, maybe?)
- A Junker Transport (scrap hauler, 2500-3500 cargo)

try to look at their current ships and then make something off their generally design.

if you made it big enough and reskinned a few parts, it would make a nice replacement to the talarca kusari cruiser. not needed, but it would be nice to have something a little less crappy as far as stats and such. (really you could just adjust the talarca, but this is more fun)

Yah I'd agree that the white fins look kind of odd... However otherwise I like it. I don't see why people complain about it going to corsairs though, I see no problem with one faction having more/better ships than another. Balancing is good for online play, however Discovery is almost OVER balanced and at times it doesn't even feel "real" In a "real" universe things would not be immensely balanced, factions would gain/lose technology. Trades would be made, technology would be stolen/traded.

This is one reason I plan to start a T3 connection Discovery RP server in a month or two with revised rules to make it feel more realistic while maintaining a fair balance. (shameless early server ad)

But anyways, keep up the good work. Would like to see how it looks with a finished skin, it is possible those weird fins would look great with a better skin.
