My copy says 1.2 in Help-About, but I dl the 1.3 main package off the first page. Is the About box wrong?

Launchpad doesn't do anything with the resolution other than setting the screen size.

If you're current set to 16bit mode, try running Freelancer then go to your display settings and change it to something 32 bit (1024x768 for example). Close the game, then try running it with Launchpad again and that may fix your problem.

For those interested, I've started working on a version 2.0 which has a bunch of features requested from many people, both here and on Skype.

I'm hoping I can get people to run the app through its paces to flush out any obvious and not-so-obvious issues I may have missed. I'll also be looking for usability and aesthetic feedback, so if you're interested in beta testing a new version contact me here or on Skype.

When it's ready to go, depending on how many volunteers there are, I'll be creating a Skype channel so we can discuss everything in the open.

Ok i've got a problem, whenever I close launchpad and re-open it, I have to re-enter my key whenever I go to play multiplayer. This only happens when I close launchpad, I can open and close FL no problem. Plus whenever I start it, it still asks me if I want to added activated account to the account list, when its already there. Any help?

Have you recently re-installed Freelancer?

Usually when Freelancer asks you to re-enter your multiplayer key (this is different than your account key) it's because that registry information has yet to be created. This is usually updated into the registry the first time you join a multiplayer game. This multiplayer key shown to you in-game has no effect on your individual accounts whatsoever. When I reinstall, I just accept whatever key it shows me in game.

The second issue suggests the account key parts (code and signature) you have in Launchpad are different than what's in the registry. If Launchpad is asking to create an account for it, say yes and create the account. Once it's been added to the list, you'll most likely notice the account it creates and the one you already have in the list don't have the same account key information (code and signature are different). My guess is the one you had previously in Launchpad is your proper account.
