I love the cayman system though, and the unique models for stations should be used elsewhere, seriously.
I'd suggest making it into a zoner research zone or something, seeing as its quite the interesting system, looks pretty as *****, and 2/3rds of the stations there are dedicated to research. Would make for some nice RP, although I'm not totally opposed to a re-birth of the RoS faction... with some serious lore re-writes that is..
I already suggested an idea along these lines a long time ago. It was pooped on by certain community members, and one of the devs (I think it was Echo?) said they had "plans" for Cayman.
So was discussing this in Skype with Scourge, how about making it a Pirate Den? Like turn the system into a Sanctuary for Pirates? were they can hide away.
Just a random thought, Also would be pretty interesting to add a Pirate IFF as well as NPCs ( which would be cool too) and in the system there could be Pirate NPCs Flying around with like random civvy ships.
We already have several pirate dens, ranging from most of the Freeports, through Junker bases to Freelancer bases (which we got 3 now). It's just matter of living peacefuly with the owner which some people just cant get into.
Also, deep Omegas feature literally no use to piracy at all. It's Omega 3, 7 and 11 where action is at.

Simple solution: Change the jumpholes around, put it near Omega 3 or 7

Well, Freelancer bases are commonly inhabited by lawfuls (IMG) as well as Bounty Hunters. This would be a place where Bounty Hunters could hide their stashes. Think of it almost like a Modern Day Tortuga. Far away hidden and only known to those who have a need for it. Would be open to Freelancers Zoners Pirate ( duh) and various other groups.
If you want another Barrier Gate in that kind of area, why not use Gran Canaria? I know Zoner =/= Freelancer, but for all intents and purposes Gran Canaria already serves as a docking hub for all stripes in that region.
Or at least it would if that area of the Omegas wasn't absolutely devoid of life because Hessians and Corsairs no longer care to shoot each other.
