Keep in mind, I suggested IC because I am not an expert on the samura lore, and if one faction wants to be neutral with kishiro and samura and not be a broker, like zoners are to corsairs and outcasts, IC can be a good place to start with. But that's just my opinion.

That's not really a bad thing, you get much more freedom in diplomacy while using a freelancer ID, also - you can rp on us at kishiro for some form of trade agreements and-or ask our help, and or- ask us special "needs", for instance - if kishiro grants you ( in theory ) access to bigger transports ( say 5k ) - you can use the Player Request Sub-forum and link the rp+approval of such agreement and granted admins approve this, you will be able to use them while holding the fl id. That's just in theory, but that's alot of fun and can actually work.

Yes, but I thought you were supposed to be rather poor farmers from Kyushu. If so you shouldn't fly the giant trading vessels only large corporations can acquire anyways, thus justifying the cargo restriction of the FL ID.

Nobody said that faction is poor. They could be in beginning, but since there are some routes unfilled yet, KTA gained small fortune to buy fleet of small ships. The lack however is player resource - there are only two players at the moment with third being offline due to her very bad internet (her account could be banned for F1-ing, because there are times when ping is okay, but mostly is either >500-600 or character would not even connect or disconnect on trying).

ooRP money != iRP money. I always loved the factions which could resist the urge to take the biggest ships and RP the richest guys. But of course that's your decision. I would imagine farmers from kyushu not to be rich though, and not getting rich in a month.

There is a Thread to explain why you DCed if you did. It can be found in the rules, which you should read in a case like that

There is a Thread to explain why you DCed if you did. It can be found in the rules, which you should read in a case like that

I know there's that rule, but she does not have account on forums yet. She would do an account, but she must work on her RP skills in English - we RP in Polish and we are doing it fine. However, she won't be on yet, because I'm just introducing her to the Freelancer (I advised her to play SP) and I'm going to give her the best advices [leaving PvP, because I simply suck on those skills - that's why I don't play action-oriented games on multiplayer].

You don't need to know how to RP to create a forum account. Just tell her to make one and post in that thread every time she disconnects with an explanation. If she cannot write said explanation just translate it for her.

Going with a Samura ID is just as good as going with a independent ID.
One offers larger ships and a nice lore to follow, the other offers freedom and choice.
Which ever you go for can work.
I would refrain from going against Samura though.

While you have the option of choosing your level of cooperation with Samura as well as any other faction, going against them would not make much sense.
It is important to remember that the only reason why there are farmers in Kusari is because Samura worked very hard to keep them in business while others like Kishiro preferred Synth to move in and take over.
Your machinery comes from Samura, as your seeds and fertaliser do as well.
Samura has economic control of both Kyushu and Tomoika.
To work actively against them would see your business suffer greatly.

Samura Omotai Zaibatsu.

InRP they were already worried about upcoming Civil War, which is possible. The corporate civil war is already on the move. The sudden change, I mean diplomatic shift towards the Samura is justified by Toori Takeda (whose dream was to prevent Kusari from further hostility inside) being deceased in accident (?) on his flagship in Sigma 17. New leader, Katsu(yori) Takeda is way more kin of Samura, because of his nature. He is also said to be more educated that his father (economics and stuff), so he just made a cold mathematical decision to seek help in Samura ranks (being something akin the "mercenaries" than full members of keiretsu) rather than being idependent.

Katsu however regained some attitude from his father's plans, because, (unlike ooRP Samura ID states) KTA is not recommended to pirate against GMG or Kishiro outside Kusari.

I think you might be missing the point of that line in the ID mate. It is simply stating that you can pirate them if you wish. It isn't saying that it is "recommended" or even "suggested."

However, if you do choose the Samura ID, you will have to understand that other factions and players won't be forced to follow along with your RP of not being unfriendly with Kishiro/GMG. They would be well within their rights to try and pirate/harass you for simply having a Samura ID.
