Born to Xavier and Stella Infernus. Nothing is really remarkable or interesting about me. I attended school like most, got average grades, graduated and got a job as a freighter pilot moving food and furniture through many of Hamburgs major cities. It was not until I got bored that I quit my job and had enough saved that I bought my very first starflier and got clearance to venture outside Planet Hamburg's docking rings. From there I docked on Altona and started looking for work. Eventually I found myself taking up a small escort job for Republican shipping and worked for them in a non official status. This continued for many years, until I saved enough of my own money and purchased a freighter and instead of escorting transports I began hauling cargo. Because of Republican Shipping giving me the opportunity to work early in my career I now own a brute of a transport, work with a great crew and get to haul cargo nearly anywhere in Sirius.

Why do you want to join Republican and what do you expect from the company:

• Security- My crew and I have had a long discussion about this. Though yes, the freedom of independent moving has it's benefits, it doesn't have it's security. Me and my crew have had close calls in the past and few just recently. This is why we've decided to join Republican Shipping for the security it offers. What good is working for yourself when your face to face against a pirate gunboat with no one to help you out?
  
• Pay- Yes our trade missions can turn in a good profit, but the frequency of getting a trade mission and a good one at that can be troublesome at times. The increase in piracy nowadays and ship maintenance costs ever rising is also another factor. I need to be able to provide a stable paycheck to my crew while also keeping my ship maintained. Joining Republican Shipping in my mind is the best idea as they have been known to pay well and have some of the best shipyards in Rhineland.
  
• Better opportunities- Eventually there will be few in my crew who wish to expand their horizons to bigger and better things. Research on Republican Shipping has given me insight that you have the programs necessary for anyone to move up in their career. This would be a huge benefit for my crew.

My name as mentioned above is Nikolalaus Muschkat, I'm 36 years old and I was born mid year to the most caring middle class parents that a young man could wish for. My father who worked as a butcher a few blocks away from home had always pushed me to dream of touching the stars and my mother who cared for the elderly at a local rest home too wished for me to pursue the dream of touching the stars, Both would always say that I can be anything I wanted, and that good things come to those who deserve it.

I grew up helping both my mother and father in their respective places of employment, After school i would go to dads work and would help him pack the meat orders and serve customers for which he would pay me a token wage of 20 sirius credits a week for helping him. My mother would take me to the rest home after school sometimes if my father had more "gruesome" work to do with the incoming animals. My mothers workplace was a contrast of difference to my fathers but i must admit it sat better with my conscience and it was nice getting to know some of the elderly people she cared for.

Many years later, My father now owned and managed the butchery where he had worked earlier and my mother had retired from the rest home but still maintained a voluntary position once a week. I myself ended up working in the very same rest home as my mother did, I started off as a casual weekend staff member and eventually worked towards gaining a degree in elderly care from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. This coupled with my current employment did satisfy me for a while.

I couldn't help but keep remembering the comment my parents used to say to me when i was younger about reaching to touch the stars, I used to speak of this with a patient as i never really knew what was outside of the immediate vicinity of Planet Nuremberg and they would tell me stories of all the different systems and planets they had visited and would show me photos and keepsakes they had gathered over the years. One day sadly this patient was no more, I turned up for work to learn that they had passed away during the night and that I would never get to finish seeing what they had to show of their life.

A few days passed and I went home after work one day to have a missed call and message on my answer phone from my mother stating that a lawyer had been there looking for me and that she had passed on my address and i should probably expect contact from the lawyer. Two more days went past and I was sitting at home on a day off and I heard a knock at the door, I answered the door and it turned out to be the lawyer that had been to my parents a couple of days earlier. He introduced himself as the executor of the recently deceased patients Last Will and Testament. Turns out the patient must have known that they weren't going to be able to show me everything that they wanted as shortly before their death they had altered their Will to include me. The Lawyer handed me a brown envelope as he had been instructed to via the Will. I saw the lawyer off then proceeded to open the envelope, I was gobsmacked at what was contained inside, There was a small letter saying that they had enjoyed talking with me and reminiscing about the old days and they wanted to pass something onto me in the hopes that it would help me touch the stars.

I flipped the letter over to see taped onto the back of it was a check for a decent amount of credits, I contacted my parents and explained what had happened and they were very happy for me and told me yet again that good things come to those who deserve it and that my wanting to work with the elderly had obviously impressed this patient. I then playfully to myself that i cannot actually touch a star so i thought the next best thing would be to get close to them and explore the systems in which they are contained. I was searching through some advertisements for employment that would allow me to explore and see these stars and systems and saw some recruitment efforts from the Police and Military as well as the odd Miner or two. But as I'm not a fighter and to be honest blood and gore is not my thing I declined to pursue these avenues of employment, I saw an advertisement for Republican Shipping and thought to myself, This is perfect.
