I remember having caradmine sold at some xeno base on 12/14k per unit. But that's vanilla ofc ( It is? -_- ).
Yeah buff is required.

Were fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

All you've done is increase how risky it is. Maybe you think it'll feel more 'realistic' or 'exciting', but all it will end up doing is make smuggling less cheap.

Fixed that for ya.

No, it's not a nerf, because you're still making the same amount of profit per run. The only difference is it is would become more expensive (thus, increasing RISK to profitability) to smuggle, as you've already noted.

I don't think it would become less popular overall (it's not like the skies are brimming with smugglers as it is, anyways), but it would only be CONTINUED by those who are willing to accept the added risk, and would thus be willing to put in the extra money/RP on the line. The result is better quality smugglers.

Smuggling should ALREADY be riskier than it is...but it's really nearly on-par with normal trading as far as risk really goes.

And hey...more activity for police (who would still need to do counter-smuggling police work in transports to get the full benefit of confiscating the contraband). Would inject some new excitement into smuggling and police work both.

And yes...the ones who want to do it would still do it.

The problem is no one would be arsed enough to do it. Smuggling would become more dead, just like bounty hunting is now.

With the current contraband profit in this game, I would rather my unlawful-bound char to be cleaning toilets on some pirate base than smuggling. You know higher profit, retirement funds and etc.
